Freddy and Juan face one of their toughest wash plant rebuilds yet as they endeavour to turn a retired couple's mining dream into a glittering success. They achieve this by building a new coarse material washer, resulting in a remarkable increase in their gold haul-4.5 times more gold than before the fixes.

Man what a clear demonstration of "Sorry, you have been doing it wrong all this time" They spotted every issue, straightened it out, and made them produce probably multitudes of gold more than they ever believed they would see. They went from a failed venture to one that can actually turn a profit in a week.

Those heavy duty screw conveyors are made with steel that is designed to be beat up and repairable by millwrights in the field. Heavy duty thick sheet folded into place by brakes and reiforced with flatbar and HSS welded. A loader can drive into it and it can be repaired. Maincosts are the screw and power transmission.

Only 2 years late and y’all left out that the course material washer was almost destroyed when the truck hauling it overturned.
Theres another video that focuses on that, seems they broken the episodes into 3 10 min vids
You could roll that down a mountain and pick it up and repair it. Its meant to take a beating by rocks and be repairable in the middle of Alaska by millwrights with generator powered welders in the middle of no where. Couple bearings, power transmission belts and shivs. A Baldor motor, Sheet metal and flat bar.

So 4.5 times as much in double the time =2.25 times better than the previous test but they ran 2x as much pay as last time so really they increased the yield by 0.125%
The main benefit the changes made were to time taken to process the pay. The Gold yield was pretty much the same.
12.5% increase, but yeah, no where near as good as the 4.5 times they're saying.

how are there so many people doing this that have such bad setups that are just not useable for the job?

0.25 ounces per hour? Would that really pay for 3 families? I would guess at most 1, but you would be struggling to keep floating. For the rest, amazing job again by the magic duo.
Yo bro do the math. 2 oz in 8 hour day. 5-day work week equals 10 oz a week. That's roughly 40 oz a month. If you can't survive on roughly $60,000 a month something else is wrong.

@@stevecasvan5225 Sorry, but I think you haven't finished the calculations. 60k a month, divided by 3 is 20k per family. That's not even taking taxes into account and running costs. I'll remind you that the poverty level for a family with 1 child is 24,860 Dollar. These families are wayyy below that.

Why would anyone do it for free? Even if they get paid by discovery why would Freddy give away one of his expensive machines? He is an equipment salesman after all .
