Good job my friend , you explained it very well. Keep it up !!!

A ton full of thanks to the uploader - Munchy, for such a wonderful tutorial. Got the idea behind, understood the process and was successfully able to root my Lenovo M10 HD tab. Got the boot.img file from the zip file extraction of the firmware, downloaded separately and then followed this tutorial. The only additional command I ran before the fastboot flash, was oem unlock-go, thereafter the flash and reboot command. Also I had set the ADB path in Env variables, hence fired the commands from the command prompt directly without navigating to the path. Thanks once again for this great video, liked and subscribed...Cheers!
You're very welcome!

So instead of patching occurring in custom recovery we have to manually do all the stuff and manually use another device to run commands.. 😅wow..custom recovery is so handy😊makes life easy af 👍.Learnt a lot today 😊

on the internet everywhere I read that oppo reno z got locked bootloader but for some reason mine is unlocked. so I wanted to root my device. on this phone I can choose whatever file I want on its own recovery mode. can I just boot it from there or do I really have to use a PC and fastboot?
I'm shit out of luck for this. My device is too rare. Its a Tetratab Casebook 3. Android 6.0.1. There is NOTHING online about it.
Hi. I own a poco f1. How do I find ore download the boot.img?😀
brother i installed magisk app, when i open it it shows ramdisk as "no" does it means that i need to patch the recovery.img? but when i checked my stock rom folder i can see 3 img files named as ramdisk, there is a file named as ramdisk.img, does it means i have ramdisk. my device is lenovo tab m10 fhd relTB-X605LC
Are all the boot.img files the same inside the different rom version files? By that I mean chan i flash a patched boot.img which i got from a rom version that is older than the one i have on my phone? Thanks you

Hi, I'm using a infinix x605 (android 10), where can I find the fastboot rom (tried searching on Google but nothing comes up)
Hello @munchy. I did until the fastboot flash & fastboot reboot. When my phone reboots, it pops out notification "Magisk Manager - Upgrade to full Magisk Manager to finish the setup. Download & install?". Once I clicked OK, it said Downloading Magisk Manager, and then "Please manually re-launch the app".
When I opened Magisk, the "Installed" tab still stated "N/A". But when I did the Root Checker, my phone is already rooted. In the Magisk app, there is no button to do Magisk Hide for certain Apps.
I'm using OnePlus 6, Oxygen 10.3.12. Pls help.
remove magisk app, reboot and install it again
@@munchy_cool can u share the link/info on how to remove Magisk? Coz I can't see the uninstall button anymore on the App. And I dont have custom recovery. Tq

Actually, I've already rooted my phone with Magisk. But I just updated my phone OS to Oxygen 10.3.12; then this mess came. I tried few times to flash stock boot, reinstall Magisk (both via TWRP / Direct apk install) but no luck.
This question may be not related with your video...but I just want to know, is it possible if I reflash the stock boot to an older version (i.e. 10.3.11)? Will I lose everything on my phone if do that, or it is actually no harm to do that? I tried to google around about this, but cannot find an answer.
Thanks.

Gonna try both flashing my device(again) and this method of rooting.
I flash my phone with a different rom yesterday and it was actually very easy, no need mi flash u just need platform-tools, and Mi Drive to install a fast boot driver(ps. u have to be very quick when manually updating the driver in the device manager while the phone is in fastboot mode, or it will reboot in about 10-15secs and). The method I used is flashing without the mi flash, it's very easy and there are many videos that can help u in doing these steps. Note: You need an Unlocked Bootloader to do this.
Edit1: I managed to flash my phone from Global to EEA(Upgrade) to Global(Downgrade buggy EEA) again
Edit2: stuck in bootloop 😅 gonna flast it again with global rom
