So the piston will be at the top on compression and exhaust stroke? If so I would also be able to tell because both valves will be closed and the rockers level. Where if I was on the exhaust stroke the exhaust valve would be wide open and the lifter would be much higher?

Thank you for sharing your time. I certainly learned a lot from this video. Will you do a video on timing this engine?

Sure, but with the holidays right around the corner it may take some time. Here is a great video that I used for reference czcams.com/video/3iDiqzI4FmE/video.html. Thanks for watching and have a great holiday season!

I have a 65 mustang/ 289. Purchased it last year. The intake manifold was removed by previous owner. I am thinking about installing a new one. Any suggestions appreciated.

I only have experience with the Edelbrock Performer Aluminum intake (Part # 2121) as it was installed when I took ownership of this mustang. It's well made and fits perfectly. Since it was on my 289 when I got it, I really can't say if there was a performace increase compared to stock (but feel rather confident to say there is). The intake has a Edelbrock 1406 carburetor sitting on top and the pair seem to compliment each other well. Thanks for watching!

If you want. Video on how to do this wrong, this is it. Look up the instructions, and put them on here. Why say 'I am by no means a n expert' and then continue making the video? This is over at that point, and should not be produced. Any idea what Ford says to do? No? I didn't see one manual pulled out for guidance, just a guess. I cant...how...

Ford shop manual specifies 3/4 turn after zero lash, not 1/2 turn. Not much difference.
