  • Aagri sukat made with brinjal, spicy and tangy Authentic Maharashtrian recipe.
    Ingredients-
    dry shrimps- 50 gms
    1 bunch spring onion
    1 or 2 brinjal
    2 green chillis
    8 garlic cloves
    1/4 inch ginger
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    3 tsp red chilli powder( aagri masala)
    salt as per taste
    3 spoon tamarind pulp
    oil
    Method-
    clean shrimps and wash properly with water. take 3 to 4 tbsp oil in pan, heat it, add chopped green chillis, saute , add chopped onion. cook for a min, add garlic and ginger , saute till its raw smell goes away.add turmeric and red chili powder . Mix well. add shrimps and green part of onion,mix well ,add salt and 1/2 glass water and cover with lid and cook on low to medium flame for 10 to 15 mins.check after 15 mins,shrimps are 50% cook , now add cut brinjal. mix well . again add some water and cover with lid and cook for more 10 mins. after 10 mins check ,if its cook add tamarind pulp and green part of spring onion . and mix well and cover with lid and cook for more 1 min. aagri sukat is ready. serve hot with rice bhakri .
