SFJAZZ Singles: SFJAZZ High School All-Stars perform "Bernie's Journey"

The SFJAZZ High School All-Stars kicked off the holiday season with their annual winter performance in the SFJAZZ Center's beautiful Miner Auditorium. Winners of the 2023 Mingus Festival & Competition as well as the 2023 DownBeat Student Music Awards, the Combo and Big Band dazzled us with their remarkable virtuosity.
The song you will hear, "Bernie's Journey", is composer George Stone's take on the great "Bernie's Tune". This recording will feature solos by Harry Jo (alto sax), Elena Weng (piano), Spencer Tantameng (vibes), and Skylar Tang (trumpet). The High School All-Stars Big Band is led by director Paul Contos.
