FLOW STOP inflate the device and have a cuppa. now the floodwaters start to rise. did you not realize that as the water rises, you inflated the device with AIR and the buoyancy is going to cause the flow stop to float and rise with the water, thus no longer protecting your home?
The robot loading machine is cool.. but not really useful when you realize that in MOST warehouse and shipping , boxes are RARELY uniform width like that. Granted, that is something you can pretty easily build a machine to work around. Spring loaded rollers with a wider path for the boxes would do the trick. You'd of course need to program the robot to stack boxes according to size. And since you're doing that, you might has well build a sorting robot the loads the conveyor robot. Since you're doing that, you might as well rebuilt the conveyor robot to have adjustable side panels that the robot adjusts based on a visual scan of the boxes. .. and that would be better because less moving parts (not having spring rollers) means less things to break.
While we're admiring the engineering, ingenuity and efficiency of these machines (a real tribute to the human race, which is otherwise petty, destructive and ignorant) let us not forget that every single one of us -- including the engineers-- will soon be out of a job because of these same machines.
