    Why will there never be a new version of a cars DVD?
    Finding Nemo and other Pixar movies got new versions of DVDs while cars did not

      I’m personally unsure why there hasn’t been a new version of the Cars DVD. It’s quite an interesting case, considering that films such as _Toy Story,_ _Finding Nemo,_ and _Monsters, Inc._ got updated DVDs with the post-3D masters on them… but yet Cars had one too and the DVD remains to be the same excluding previews. I’m guessing the only reason why they haven’t updated the DVD was because they really didn’t want to. They were basically lazy here with reusing the original Cars DVD that was reused several times by now. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very good DVD on its own, very nostalgic for me, and it’s definitely best that they didn’t replace it… but again, it’s such an odd case.

      @@DozerDavisProductions honestly, in my opinion, new versions or DVDs are crap because I just prefer the old version so good thing that Disney is keeping the OG DVD for cars

    May ask, why is it good that it still has the Movie Club sticker? Personally I like seeing the entire artwork and the promtional stickers is pretty distracting.

    • @DozerDavisProductions

      The older Disney Movie Club sticker is a rare thing to come across apparently. As I’ve heard from one person who owned this same release, allegedly the sticker itself is “not easy to find” or something like that, hence why I kept it on the package. And to be fair, I like seeing the artwork without any stickers in its way as well, but in my opinion I don’t really mind it too much when it’s a promotional sticker that originally came with the release itself. But pricing stickers on the other hand… now that’s annoying to me.

    For a Blu-ray release, that seems pretty rare.

      It actually is quite rare, as DMC exclusives aren’t too common to find on the secondary market. I bet after DMC officially shuts down, it’ll get even more uncommon somehow, but who knows.

      @@DozerDavisProductions I think it’s just as rare as the VHS release of the film.

    • @DozerDavisProductions
      @DozerDavisProductions  Před 2 měsíci +1

      It probably is, but the Blu-ray was more mass-produced than the VHS, so from what it’s worth, it’s definitely much more easier to get your hands on the DMC Blu-ray release as opposed to the DMC VHS release. Speaking of, I hope to get the VHS one day, but with how expensive that thing is, I’ll never know if I’ll get it or not.

      It is kind of funny that this film even got a home video release in 2006 since it’s the same year when Blu-ray was launched. It’s just a shame at it decided to go on that format *literally* a year later.

    • @DozerDavisProductions
      @DozerDavisProductions  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Even more ironic because the VHS came out the year AFTER VHS was officially considered as a “dead format” in the home video marketplace, in which it happened the same year that Blu-ray started to roll out store shelves. It’s very odd when you think about it.
