What a nice collection of triple Birdies.
Lol...thats good
Seems more appropriate name than double eagle. That or eagle and a half.
These guys got some awesome Hole in 1 minus 1’s
quad par
r/boneappletea
I had two in one round....and I was going for my third, when the kids woke me up.
Stretch that eagle until you email the pets. The antidote is it okay, if I can get it to you tomorrow so I can get it to you tomorrow so I can get it to you tomorrow so I can get it to you tomorrow so I can get it to you tomorrow so I can get it to you tomorrow so I don't have to go to the store but I don't want to go to the house but I don't want to go to the house but I don't want to go back to work but I'm sure you're going to go back to work and get that one right to go to work but I will be able to get it tomorrow morning but if you need anything from the house I will have to put it in the mail
Dreams can be great.
@@lomoney6011 lol hi GPT-3
Lol😂
Double Eagle, Albatross, Triple Birdie, Quadruple Par, Idk.
After albatross it’s condor- 4 under par- so a hole in one in a par five
@@polarflame1816 never happened in pro golf
the 5-time bogey
Most certainly a albatross
😂
1:35 is the prettiest swing I have ever seen.
TheNYgolfer man I saw that swing and immediately searched for more videos of him. I mean that is SMOOTH!
Real smooth smoothie smoothies smooth as butter
Whilst I came here to watch the double eagles , I stopped and searched for Carlos Franco after I saw that swing , That is smoooooooooooooth
Poetry in Motion.
Very Louis or Rory-esque
I had a Double Eagle 25 years ago. It was a 18ft with a 200hp Outboard motor. Really sweet for water skiing.
wow u shot a -4 on 1 hole well done
Albatross*
I just got one last Thursday. After 48 years of playing golf. Woo hoo!
Well done
Jon Lanier.. Congratulations! I have never made a hole-in-one..nor have I ever made an Eagle...a few birdies here and there but never a double eagle..well done Jon and hoping your on a eagle roll!..take care and great job..
+sailor7680 wow mate ur so nice!
+Jon Lanier Which course?
I can't even make an albatross in my dreams. Well done!
Franco's swing is crazy smooth
Lowery's is the one that I'll never forget. He'd already made birdie from a water hazard on 14 and holed out for eagle on 15. I remember thinking to myself, "I wouldn't be surprised if he holes this," just before he hit his second shot on 17. I'd never anticipated an albatross before and I haven't anticipated one since. Lowery was just unbelievable during that stretch of 4-5 holes. Too bad he missed the putt to win or we'd probably still be talking about it.
That shot Franco hit was the smoothest swing I've ever seen.
Top 10 things you'll never achieve in your lifetime.
Love the joy of all the people after the last albatross.
I'm an albatross and I find this American.
2:32 when you grab a star, and your golf club is now invincible
Aah mario
lmao I love this comment
Vin Scully could call a game of checkers and I'd listen.
True. What I also like is that Vinny and Joe actually REACT to the shot and are visually excited and jump up and down (that split second shot of them at the end).
Joe ? Could you identify the other announcer ? Thanks.... I thought that was Ken Venturi's voice stating " he had never seen one or made one "
Joe Garagiola and Vin Scullly. Joe made the comment.
It was Ken Venturi alongside Vin Scully for that double eagle, and who stated that he had never seen one or made one.
that made me laugh, so true.
What’s funny is that all of these shots are from 2009 and earlier 😂
I guess now the courses are too hard to get an albatross
This is exactly what I came here to say. Lol
The PGA Tour needs to bring back the International at Castle Pines. Such a great venue and Stableford.
Ernie Els has signed one of my shirts. A legend!
2:09 a ghost made that putt i believe lol
Franco´s swing, pure delight!
What about Louis Oosthuizen albatross at the 2012 masters? That one was incredible!!
Agreed, but I'm sure there are licensing issues with The Masters that prevent using their footage.
@@watson956 I asked the same question after watching this. And your response nailed it. Thanks : )
How did they leave that one out?
Or Jeff Maggert at the Masters 13th in 1994?
*double eagle
Wouldn’t a double eagle be -2 + -2, meaning a condor 🤔
Nah a condor is a hole in one on a par 5. A double eagle is two strokes on a par 5
yes, Americans can't count.. in Europe it's usually called an Albatross
@@jordanshort5631 condor also 2 strokes on an old par 6.
A double eagle would be that which is why it's an Albatross. Double Eagle is the imperial system version which is why it makes no sense but who cares because murican.
@@cdh79 I’m American and I call it an albatross. I think on tv the commentators call it a double eagle so less knowledgeable viewers know what is happening.
I live in the US and always have and this is the first time I’ve ever heard it referred to as a double eagle. Even in Golfing games (i.e. everybody’s golf/hotshots) it’s called an albatross. Idk why they would call it double eagle
i think the people being paid to announce tournaments authenticated by the professional rules keeper of the sport (PGA) are a pretty good source for terminology in the sport.
Albatross sounds about a million times cooler
Because it's two better than a birdie, eagle being one better than a birdie. The term double eagle predates the term albatross.
It's called a double eagle because it's a double eagle.
Vin Scully calling gold shots! ❤️
Best part is Vin Scully calling the last one.
Eagle(-2)Doubled(*2) = -4
Albatross = -3
Lavar_Ball par 1, birdie 2 eagle 4 albatross 8. what do they call 1 in the hole at a par5? double albatross. see, you don’t have a name for it yet but I do. double albatross 16😝
@@kurlcollins3817 Its called a condor.
I like that...
how about what en eagle is relative to a birdie? smartass
A double eagle would be a hole in one
Nice collection of Albatrosses!!!!
Was that....was that Vin Scully at #1? A voice, a narrator, and a man to be missed for sure.
What a wonderful shots of the Golf !
Double Eagle...Albatross...I prefer to call it the Triple Birdie 😉
Great collection of TRIPLE BIRDIES!!!
Albatrosses, Lib.
That Els albatross was ridiiiiiiiculous. I love that man.
Its goosebump time!
The Els one was particularly surprising, the way the ball seemed to be looking for the hole.
Not to add fuel to the fire, but it IS kind of annoying how all but one of those commentators referred to it as a double eagle and not the official 'Albatross'
+Quiet Gamer Yep, albatross all the way. After albatross is a condor, I think (-4) and then it must be a rhinoceros or something! :)
+Interested Bystander After albatross comes Pterodactyl
+thegonz9 Pterodactyls are much smaller than an albatross though :P
+Kristofer Wolfgang Then let's make it an F22 Raptor
That should be a thing, would be hilarious
As a caddie at Castle Pines, it's amazing to see home 17 on this list....twice!!
Wowie zowie, that's the most exciting thing I've ever seen in my life!
The Albatross of Louis Oosthuizen at the 2012 (?) Masters is missing. Great shot! 👍😉
Roland Sievers
Excludes majors. Bubbas is the one missing.
I was thinking the exact same thing about Louis Oosthuizen
Was looking to see if anyone wrote this already... Crazy that they did not add that one. They must not have known about it.
Oosthuizen's was better than any of these! I forget how long his second shot was but it must have rolled 80 feet or more slowly to the back of the green and into the hole. It was like 30 seconds of suspense!
@@williamvann4305 I agree I can't believe that they didn't have his on that list I remember watching that Masters!
No one can forget Gene Sarazen's Albatross at the 1935 Masters on the 15th hole!
*Double eagle.
getting close to the flag is extremely difficult. Let alone into the hole for an eagle. Blows my mind every single time!
I'm from Portland, OR and Bob Gilder was born and grew up in Southern Oregon but the guy walking next to him in the clip is Peter Jacobsen, who is a golf commentator with NBC. At that time, Peter was 200+ lbs less and younger.
Vin for the win!!!
That's cool that Bubba didn't make the list I mean he only made one from 280 yards out uphill with a 4 wood.
So awesome
You forgot Happy Gilmore, I'm mad now
2:23 even when Ernie throws an easy toss with his hat it goes a mile up!
Brilliant
Awesome
1:57 he had some help from beyond the grave to make that shot!
That one is my favorite of these
Favorite shot!!!
Albatross is the true/real name of a "double eagle" .
No it isn’t if you look in the pga rule book it is a double eagle not an albatross
No one uses that archaic name. The PGA uses the term double eagle so that’s official Mr. pedantic
I'd been getting double eagles for some time. I had no idea they actually existed. Thanks, PGA, back to the app.
Those old balata balls sure spun a lot, Gilder’s shot with the old 3 wood stopped on a dime. Impressive carry for those years and that club
It’s the best struck shot I’ve ever seen.
#6 was the best!!!!
No Oosthuizen?
I like the term Albatross the most!
Very amazing
oosthuizen's at the masters?!!!!1
and all of bubbas too?
Read the description. Excluding majors
kainoamh yes it is 😂
that's what I typed in .... he did ......
I read the description but that is a sort of clickbait. I expected to see Louis’s albatross on number 2 at the Masters.
I like how everyone just clicked on this video to talk shit about the term "double eagle" lol
Still a fuckin Albatross though!
It is all fake
ITS A FUCKING ALbatros for fuck sake!!!
Yeah, because double eagle isn't the term.
Yes. I did. Its an ALBATROSS!!!!!! When did the "double" of 2 become 3????
Superb
Nice to see the old persimmon woods.
Where's Bubba's albatross nearly 280 yards out?
Bob Gilder freakin nailed that shot.
+ir4kk He did. I watched the whole downswing frame by frame. It was a thing of beauty.
I wanna know how far he had in...that thing was absolutely smoked.
absofugginlutely demolished that ball..the sound it made was crispy
Agreed. Best one hands down is Gilder. Balata + Persimmon
Just crazy
*Ooh! Nice Albatross!*
Im an albatross WOOOO 🎼🎶🎶
Why do these guys keep saying “double eagle”...
I’ve never heard that term until today
Brian Van Horne
Albatross was the term I always heard
@@manifestgtr Jep, but in Murrica the people are not that bright...
@Robert Jizzle true lmao also this man replied a year later legend
ANYTIME Vin Scully "Gets Excited"...you know you've seen something Special!
Rarest of the rare. Awesome
Americans have a strange way to write Albatross
Eagle
We don’t have giant seagulls here
I wonder if an eagle with four wings could fly as well as an albatross with two.
double eagle because 1 male & 1 female. what do you call a male eagle? condor? 😝
@John Dunbar Golf comes from Scotland.
2:10 : When physics as left the course...again!
Bugs Bunny was under the hole
Some of these, such as this one, are fake. They have mini-gyroscopes in the balls. There's no way that ball at this point should have gone in that direction. A lot of Tiger Woods' putts have done this too.
Bill Green I hope this is a joke lol, can’t tell.
Bill Green are you dumb or joking
My favorite collection of double hole in ones
awesome triple birdies.
Louis Oosthuizen 2012 Masters final round 2nd hole !!!
I know right!!
+Gideon van der Vyver I was shocked that it wasn't on the list
+Gideon van der Vyver read the description because you chat shit.
+Gideon van der Vyver they don't count majors on PGA Top 10 lists
his shot in 2012 should be on the list.
how can you not include Louis, what is this
I know I was looking for that one. That was in a major so I gave this video a dislike!!!
Too true, I love how Louie holds his follow through pose for the twenty something seconds it takes for the ball to drop. I’d vote that number one for sure!
Agreed, but I'm sure there are licensing issues with The Masters that prevent using their footage.
Vin always has the best calls
Recently got into golf because of a tiger woods video. Never taught I would find interest in it but here I am
Golf is a great sport. Simultaneously the most rewarding and the most frustrating sport in the world. My 70 year old father just beat me and my brother the other day with the best chipping I've ever seen. Holed out 3 times and didn't miss hit a single chip the whole round. Had the biggest smile on his face
Only in America does -2 x 2 = -3!
it sorta works like how a bogey and a double bogey works. If there is one more or one less stroke they just call it a "double" eagle or a double bogey. So it would not be 4 less strokes so a double eagle and an albatross is the same thing
+sexy gorilla it's nothing like that. A double bogey is 2 x 1. Hence the word double! A double Eagle is still 2 x -2 which is -4 and not -3 under par for that hole.
whatever bud it doesn't matter
+Graham Bell You're correct sir.
No, he's not. It's not a math problem. It's a margin.
I was expecting at least to see a handful of par 4 hole in ones. Not even one?
There’s only been one on the PGA tour, and that was a lucky bounce off of someone else’s putter.
@@schumi246 that's surprising, especially after watching the PGA Championship at Harding Park with the easily drivable par 4 16th.
Their reactions are so golf like.
#10 was probably the best shot in terms of accuracy. One bounce and in for albatross is insane.
It's an Albatross. Double Eagle, doesn't make sense. An Eagle, is two under, therefore double two under, is four under.
Albatross is only 3
Who cares
@Matthew Wiley it's not a 3. It's a 2
@Matthew Wiley they aren't both 2 under genius
A 2 on ANY hole will be accepted ALL the time🤣🤣👍
These announcers need to call it what it is. An albatross. Double eagle is nonsense
@Fugp Basis never heard that turn a phrase. Congratulations. I’m calling it a quadruple par from now on then. See, using the terms double or triple has its own negative connotation. you only count doubles and triples when they are bogeys. Each negative scoring stroke has its own name of a bird. Why change that for the albatross? Regardless of its historyLOL
Nice collection of triple birdies.
Also, I did see one of these at the U.S. Open in 2012 at the Olympic Club. Nick Watney was the golfer who put it in from the fairway!
Its called an Albatross
*albatross
What a swing Franco had
Vin Skully on the call of #1 !
What is a double eagle? That doesn't make sense, i think they mean Albatross
Albatross
+Rekt M8
He's right - if an eagle is minus 2 for the hole then a double eagle should be minus 4.
+Fuzzy Dunlop it sorta works like how a bogey and a double bogey works.
Its called an albatross everywhere in the world, except in the USA it’s known as a Double Eagle.
I'm American and I think us Americans calling this a Double Eagle is dumb as ****. It's a ****ing albatross.
I never knew it was an american thing. Calling an albatross a double eagle is like calling football soccer.
Or like calling soccer not corrupt.
Yeah
Blah Playhard albatross sounds fucking stupid just like you
+Rekt M8 albertross is a bird that hold a world record for longest wingspan
Great video...🤪🤭💪🧐😎.... Great watch that's why we love golf right here....🤗🤍🏌️🗽🇺🇸😇.....
"These Guys Are Good"... ol' PGA motto.
Albatross = -3
Double eagle = -4
Of all people to get it wrong, the PGA Tour?!? Come on guys!
No, you are wrong.
PingGolfer59 How so? Care to elaborate how that's wrong?
Eagle = -2
When you double something, you multiply it by 2. Last time I checked, 2 * -2 = -4.
It takes 10 seconds of research to see that you are wrong Nate... Look it up before making yourself look dumb.
AKelsoY I am fully aware that the terms are used interchangeably in the US but it simply doesn't make any sense to call it a double eagle.
Nate Franklin You're wrong. Give up. The theoretical -4 shot is called a condor.
"Double eagle"....lol, that's like calling a hole in one on a par three an eagle. Top ten Albatrosses should be the title.
Tdog a hole in one on a par 3 is an eagle
Craig Fernandes how so
StuffWeUnderstand because while eagle is technically correct, hole in one is the proper term for a par 3. Just like a double eagle is technically correct, but albatross is the proper term.
StuffWeUnderstand or is it a double birdie?
Or a triple par?
That last one 1982 America was in a lot better shape than today. No personal computer,no social media,no cell phones.
The European PGA Tour had a Par 6 the other week. Apparently if you got a 2 on that, it's called a Condor.
By double eagle I assume they mean albatross?
@Brian Van Horne Exactly, so you just said that I was correct and still start the reply with ''NO!!''.
Surprised the Yanks don't call an eagle a double birdie. Anyway if an eagle is 2 under then it stands to reason a double eagle is 4 under. Not so in the land of the World Series where 99 % of the world isn't eligible.
-1 x -1 = 2 so uh no
It’s called the World Series because players from around the world can play in the MLB and during when it was called the US was dominating the world and no one could beat them at their own game
Vin Scully is a legend.
👏Amazing work🏌️
The golf is very peaceful entertainment of sports ⛳
I love the music so much! I wish it were louder. In fact, they shouldn’t even bother showing the golf. Just give me that awesome music!
