I think there is a certain 'charm' about train simulator games. I have played TSW2 on my xBox. I fully understand there isn't as much 'freedom' as there is in flight simulators or driving games, but being able to walk around the station and the train itself does add some extra depth. And having to obey the signals, speed limits, make sure you stop correctly at stations as well as learning all the train controls does give a lot of involvement in the game.
