ItÂŽs strange to think there was any confusion about the scar, as Luffy clearly grips his chest and comments on it when Jinbe mentions Akainu is now the Fleet Admiral, during the Fishman Island Arc.

@[ C A K E S ] in their defense, zoro would make more sense. When I first got into op 2016 I thought that too but then found it odd how there was no scar afterwards. Itâd be mad deep for luffy to have the scar from zoro n his tooth stay out from sanji. Since theyâre always beefin, they could confront each other about injuring their captain but luffy reminds them that he loves them anyway like whitebeard. But marineford was too big for luffy not to get a scar from there instead so I understand. Luffy having a Voldemort scar is way better

In the Manga, chapter 1, Shanks says "You know why we call you 'Anchor'? Because you can't swim, you just sink." Which directly clashes with the anime and Yassop.

Donât forget that the Gum Gum Fruit has both the properties of Rubber and Gum. Thus Rubber Rubber and Gum Gum work synonymously to achieve the same meaning.

My birthday is also 05/05 and growing up my number playing football was 56. I didn't find one piece until many years after I started playing and it felt like the universe had been calling me to one piece for years. Needless to say my love of Luffy felt like fate.

For what I read from Oda's SBS, is not that Luffy was imitating Usopp, but rather that Usopp's presence is what caused said reaction, which probably means Luffy gets the mentality of a middleschool kid when he's with Usopp, which I find really charming and cute honestly. Hell, luffy even calls the King a pervert afterwards, so he understands what he had just seen lol

when Oda said that Luffy could stretch up to 72 Gum-Gums, he also said that Luffy wanted to eventually be able to stretch 100 Gum-Gums. this was also near the beginning of the series, so it's likely that Luffy can stretch close to, or over, 100 Gum-Gums during the Whole Cake Island ark.

I feel like Luffy's dream has something to do with creating a paradise for all people to live in, like a territory or a kingdom, but not rule over it. Luffy stated directly to Rayleigh that he does not plan on ruling over anything. Also, in his fight with Kaido, he said he wanted to create a world where everyone can eat til they're full.
Somewhere I think Luffy mentioned that he wanted everyone to be free to follow their dreams so I think that is what his dream is. That and that everyone can eat as much as they wantđ

i forgot what arc it was in, but Zoro got hypnotized and fought Luffy. Zoro ended up giving Luffy and X-shaped scar on his chest.
That same anime filler not only predicted that Akainu would give Luffy his most iconic X shaped scar on his chest, but that Ace would be publicly executed by Akainu.

OK, regarding fact number one, if we count the non-canon arc oceans dream, Zoro actually gave Luffy his X-shaped scar when he attacked his captain after all of hem lost their memory of each other.

Nami was part of Arlong's Pirate crew and only allied herself with Luffy when they first met. Similar to Luffy and Law working together.
Not for Luffy. Luffy considers her as the 3rd member of his crew seeing her as his navigator from the start. So she is 3rd member.

In all official art, color spread, even in chapters, Nami is drawn as the third member. You ask me if I'm an old or new fan, I ask you do you respect the author's decision with his series or not. If Oda drew her as the 5th then she is but he didn't. He drew her to be the 3rd member.

Advanced Armament is a given, he is the reason why we even know of Advanced Conquerors and he was also capable of using Advanced Obeservation Haki to see in the future just like Luffy, as seen in his drunken phases.

In thriller bark when oars finds out he has mechanical parts he comes up with the name âoars bomberâ for himself. It briefly cuts to chopper, who had beforehand been in walk point in brain point with his chopper man cape on. He mutters âoars bomber?â To himself and in the next scene he is back in walk point with no cape whatsoever. I saw this in my first time watching it and if you werenât paying attention you could miss this priceless joke.

@@jonsonatlas6649 Shanks didn't know Ace that well I think and He himself thought of Roger as a father figure, so he might view Roger more favorably than Ace did and might not have been able to discern his own feelings for Ace's. Also at that point Shanks was in a very small town and he was not as famous as he is now, so he probably wasn't tracked (otherwise the fruit would be stolen back anyway).

Chopperman is actually referenced alot in One Piece, my favourite being in thriller bark when Oars calls himself "Oarsbomber" (a reference to Luffybomber). And Chopper is then immediately shown in the iconic Chopperman cape.

Viz actually began their translations a couple of years prior to the 4kids dub and chose Gum Gum on their own, so presumably the translator just thought to romanize the katakana. They also kept Zoroâs name initially and only changed it to Zolo to be in line with the dub, retroactively affecting reprints of early volumes.
there's also the fact that the term Gum Rubber is a thing, which is directly referring to naturally occurring rubber and some chewing gum is partially made of synthetic rubber. So it's technically just a shorthand, and therefore a correct translation.
Luffy's Japanese voice actress Mayumi Tanaka also voices Krillin in Dragon Ball. That's why in Dragon Ball Z Resurrection F Krillin's ringtone is We Are. However, this reference is not lost on the english dub audience, as Krillin's english voice Sonny Strait also voices Usopp. To loop that second fact back to Luffy, his english va Colleen Clickenbeard also voices young Gohan in Dragon Ball Z Kai.
