SILVER Palms? Looks like it. We left a job there as well.

My volunteer jobs were at the most, a month. I did leave one job after a month, instead of staying for 2. I think, in general, i agree with your view to treat the situation professionally. The management of such places needs to know that certain behaviors arent acceptsble from them. Just as management expects mature, respectful behavior from campers, it works both ways. Managements that can dish out the disrespect and not accept complaints about it, are apt to have more turnover.
I wouldnt hesitate to leave a toxic situation, regardless of the cobtract.

Sorry it didn't work out for you guys! It sounds like you've done what you could, and we respect you for giving 2 weeks! Hope it goes well! We know it can be stressful!

Loved the video and very glad for you guys that you're now in a camp that you enjoy the work. Working anywhere when it's not a good fit can be a total drain! Looking forward to catching up on the other videos.

So what was the problem with the first position? Don’t want the ugly just what to expect that might not make a position work out?!

Hi, Kaye! Thank you for watching! We weren't willing to work for a management team that blatantly lies to their guests as well as their employees which we were witness to on several occasions (even hearing management talk to each other about the lies). Second, we don't at all expect to be treated like kings and queens, but we were treated pretty poorly by the management. We also had the unfortunate experience of watching the general manager evict 3 families from the resort as he drove yelling obscenities while telling them to leave, 2 of which had no idea what was going on and were not even part of the issue he was dealing with. Finally, we had agreed to a specific contract, and we had been fine with the arrangement, even though it was a financial loss for us. When we met with them to let them know we were leaving, we were offered a much better financial package, something they had said was completely impossible to begin with. We all have limits and acceptable practices when we're working, and we just weren't comfortable continuing to work there. We hope this helps! Thank you for asking! We're happy to answer any other questions you might have. :) -Matt & Laurie

It's good to know under what circumstances you left. If nothing, just to give us an idea of what could go wrong.

You can quit a job at anytime. Why he miserable somewhere. Also, employers can fire you at anytime. They don’t have to give notice.

Are reviews about bad experiences ever left on the campground website?

What an interesting concept to quit as a couple and a team! Seems kind of nice

Hi, Amber! :) Pretty cool, isn't it? When you're workamping as a couple, you're hired as a team so when one goes, we both go! lol It definitely made the parting process a little easier, but it is never easy to resign, even when it isn't a good fit. Thank you for following along!

You might as well get a job at Walmart or Seven Eleven. Seems like this work destroys the joy of living on the road...

Nah, I'd just let them know the same day. None of this brainwashed two weeks notice junk.
Did they give you anything in writing about wanting you back later on? If not, that's lip service imo.
