Thank you for making these videos. Just picked up my 710 as my first HF radio, and your channel has been the best source of information for a noob. 73s. KQ4HZK
I had the Yaesu FT-710 for about a month, but had to sell it. Now, I have the Icom IC-7300. I love the 7300, but the noise floor (DSP) on the Yaesu FT-710 is definitely quieter than the Icom. I still like the Icom and will keep it, but if I ever get the money I will get another Yaesu 710 or DX10. Thanks for posting. I don't care for the 3D display. I can see why people like it, but I always stuck to the waterfall. The external monitor was nice, but when I was changing the radio you have to be looking at the radio anyway, so I felt like the external monitor was a bit of a waste for me anyway.
Good video. I personally like dial most of the snow out of the scope and I cannot stand 3DSS. My FT710 is the primary rig now and the G90 is now my secondary rig.
The 3-D display is cool but I don't think it's as easy to track down contacts. I've had my FT-710 for three days now and love how easy it is to make contacts and how good the incoming signals sound. I was using a loaned to me Kenwood TS-570 - and the difference between that radio and this one is mind-boggling!
I had an IC-7300 and am now trying to decide if I should get an FT-710. I keep asking myself if I should maybe try the FTDX10 - a lot of reviewers like it better. You really make this radio attractive though.
While the 710 is a great radio, the display on the 7300 is an absolute killer! The display on the 710 is soooooo hectic, it really should have had averaging.....

I think get dx10 it's a better beast but 710 is good value as includes speaker.
How do you lower the noise floor please?.
Go outside turn up squelch

Yaesu have made a detailed statement about averaging -these sets are both amazing but external Display wins easily for me .
