- Philo Brathwaite plays Milo McIver's Hole 6West just perfectly, nailing his second shot with an Innova Star Destroyer. He recorded a 2 on this 850ft par 5, a 3-under-par albatross or double eagle, and would go on to take second at the Beaver State Fling, one of the premier disc golf tournaments in the country.

This is my holy shot. This is the greatest disc golf throw of all time in my opinion and it couldn't have been thrown by a more cool dude❤
It's impossible to not love Sexton as a player. He's always one of the loudest when stoking other players out. It really captures what I love about the sport.
I really enjoy how Milo West's hole 6 is now called the Philo Albatross hole. Good stuff.
Us locals just call it the Philo hole. . .

Reading the comments on the video is partly why I love this sport so much. An individual goes from "I never heard this existed" to "I play every weekend now" in the snap of a finger, because regardless of your skill level it is very fun to play, especially if you have a few courses in your immediate area. Here in NorCal there are such a wide variety of courses and terrains to play on. We're a bit spoiled, but it has led to me playing somewhat steadily for the past 15 or so years. My skills have fallen off a bit since having 2 kids, can't get out to the courses as much, but I still enjoy the hell out of it!
I know this comment is 2 years old but yeah. About 3 months ago I saw a video on disc golf and thought I'd give it a try. I play multiple times per week right now and love every second of it. I'm in central NC and there are 10 different courses within 35 miles of where I live. I take my disc bag with me when I go out and if I feel like stopping and playing I'm lucky enough to be in an area where there is most likely a course close by.

I agree completely...I literally had the same exact thought jus before I got to your comment... Disc golf videos are almost the only place on CZcams where you find basically zero negativity in the comments... That's a huge aspect of why the sport is so great, the people. I'm pretty sure the 100 best people I've ever met, I met on the course or thru some extent of disc golf and I've only been golfing for about 3 years... For some reason disc golf seems to attract very cool laid back free spirited people, fkng love it!! 👊😎
I played it once after watching 1 match. Got a a midrange shark and that's all I used on my first time playing. Hooked. I was hooked. Its fun, it's challenging, and I have 2 kids also and they can join me

I think his 1st throw went around 400 feet and the 2nd one the remaining 450. I've played that hole quite a few times.. hitting it in two is just amazing! Gotta thank CCDG for the great camera work and congratulate Philo Brathwaite for a very memorable achievement.
Pretty sure this shot was my first time watching disc golf over a year ago, so glad I did because now I play all the time. Fantastic sport

Those second cam guys are the real heroes. I was at the tourney this weekend and they were always sprinting down the fairways to get an angle before the upshots!
+Central Coast Disc Golf I once ran cam for The Shark in ball golf. In Texas, 100 degrees 60 lbs gear, I was 99 pounds. He invited me to ride in his cart. My Dad, the station owner was livid. Anyway- Paul is INDEED a Pro. P-R-O. As a seasoned pro myself, I would have reacted the second the shot went in.

I went to high school with him in the 90s, and thought about him recently which brought me here. He was a drummer and trumpet player in the school band. Watching him play the drums inspired me to want to take it up. I remember he was a very cool guy and exceptionally humble. Great to see what’s become of him and his remarkable skill.

Nate Sexton is such a good guy. He was happy for him even though they're opponents.
The Bassinator24 I know this is an old comment. But Sexton has always been a really nice guy. He likes to cheer people up. And you can hear him commenting ”nice shot”, ”this is looking great... perfect shot”, ”nice putt” and stuff like that to his opponents in pretty much every tournament he plays. It's just sometimes hard to hear, because the commentary covers almost all the ambient sounds from the footage.

I've been lucky to meet him several times. At the European Opens in Finland and this summer he played a round in the new Tampere DiscGolfCenter grand opening exhibition show.

Sure, the circumstances plus the execution of Conrad’s Holy Shot make it the greatest shot in disc golf history. But in my opinion, technically speaking, this is the most beautiful and impressive disc golf shot I’ve ever witnessed.

Worth watching a few times. His first shot is soooo smooth and placement is perfect. I know some people hate the term, but his "snap" on the second shot is amazing.
Also great leg control and release angle execution on that second shot, if I’m not mistaken it was a crank(could be wrong hard to tell) which is under-stable but not super flippy so he dropped it just right while also giving it exactly the perfect amount of height

It's super easy to get into. 99% of courses are free to play. All you need to get started is just one disc, which you can get for ~$10. Check out courses in your area. Almost everyone you meet on a disc golf course will be more than happy to help out a new player. Some may even donate some old discs to get you started!

Disc golf still has its stoners, like every other sport, but the sport isn't a "recreational only" activity. I would say more than half of disc golfers compete in events that strictly prohibit drinking and smoking
