Amen. I didn't really appreciate my dad until he passed away. He never achieved greatness but he was a consistent strength to his family. An anchor we all pulled against but that we all relied upon.

I loved my father very much, but sometimes we didn't always have the best relationship, I did more crying for him when he was alive than when he passed away. I was worried about him. I know we always see Superman in the city but I'd like to imagine that in those few quiet moments he'd fly off to some distant country and stand on a mountain range just thinking about things.

Thats the thing for me; Superman is a figure who (implied by his nature), is always in full control. He must have the strongest boundaries. The best discipline, be the most selfless because of his responsibility by his powers. Because others look to him for stability, for hope. It is as if he is obligated to stay close to humans in the city. He is not allowed a field day, a moment of rest, time to heal his traumas, a respite in the mountains, a wild night of debauchery or love making. We make Superman into a sort of human-god and place unrealistic expectations and vague beliefs about what he can do. A beautiful role model who is utterly devoid of humanity. We hold him as a fictitious hero, but we also often neglect showing him making mistakes, suffering emotionally, or breaking boundaries or showing that life is often not black and white; all genuine human moments. So in a way, we only isolate him even more from us, by not letting him fail. Letting him have a bad day. Let him do his thing on his own time.
I think about that too; imagine the places he has seen! Well, you know what I mean. He's not real...or is he?

I think as men, we can relate. Not to being Superman, but to being lonely at times. As men, we are protectors, providers, and we are not expected to show emotion, or weakness. Men for many parts of our lives are lonely. Women tend to have more friends and more support networks while men in many ways - have been left behind in a world that rejects what men are and should be. So to a lonely Superman, and to all you heroic men who love courageously and at times feel defeated - a tip of the hat to you. You are not alone.

At 67 with cancer, I know I won't live here forever and will miss my family terribly! But I know for certain that we will spend eternity together in heaven with Jesus Christ! Great comfort!

Superman has always been for me,a symbol of hope ( although my favorite superheros are Wonder woman and Batman) all superheroes are figure hope,they represent the best in humanity. To save people from danger and evil villains, but mainly to help people. I can imagine that it can get tiresome for them every now and then, but they want to make the world 🌎 better place . He's real you know, and he loves you, all of us. The son of a higher power given to us to protect us as long as we belive in him. Superman is symbolic of someone very real.

Logical fallacy. We exist yet we can not make ourselves, in fact we can not even make an ant. By this logic alone everything alive comes from something we can not understand, by definition a higher power / intellect than us. And if you want to go further, all historical accounts say god had a son, or that the sun gave birth to Jupiter. Or for a more in depth and easier to understand account, there's this....There was an incredible race of loving beings to whom nothing was unknown. They had built grand and beautiful cities of a golden nature, beyond belief and in this place they had built, the only thing that ruled was love. They had mastered the art of DNA coding and genetic engineering and created many creatures and animals. They eventually decided to go a step further and make something a step up from the animals they had been making for so long, and so they made us, humanity. They were pleased with us, they loved us as their children, as we were. These beings were our parents and we looked up to them as such. As humanity begun to fall, to grow distant from their creator, a sanctuary on earth would remain, a place where the teachings for humanity existed. All the lessons needed for the right way to live, as individuals, as families, as societies, the workings of the world, spiritual and physical was all kept in this sanctuary. We know this place today as Egypt. All of the teachings of the creator were kept within the statues in the form of electromagnetic energy, in sync with that of the minds and souls of the people, a person only need touch the nose of the statue containing the desired information using what we call today an Ankh. In doing so, the person would receive a huge download. The download would be in the form of thoughts, feelings, emotions and much, much more, an entire experience if you will, to make it very clear. This was the information of life and how to live in a way that life thrives, any deviation from this way of living would eventually lead to the end of life, this was made clear and to this day the Ankh remains a symbol of life. The Ankh also represents the passing on of truth and the teachings of the creator. The sanctuary would eventually fall and the noses would be broken from the statues, eradicating the teachings of the creator. A few saw it coming and inscribed what they could on tablets, information from these tablets still exists today in what we now call the Bible. Those magnificent beings who created us, would continue to love us despite us turning our backs on them, becoming terrible sinners and abandoning all the principles they gave us and eventually not believing in them at all. They loved us so much so, that they would give themselves to give us a second chance. The world was to see a great powerful flood, not to end the world but to free all of us from the hellish conditions we played part in creating. Our creators would not be able to return to teach and guide us as they did before and so the flood would also have the effect of only leaving those who believed in them and their principles. The creator would send word to all, of the impending watery end, knowing only the ones who held the creator in their hearts would believe enough to act on it. It was perhaps disappointing to see that only one man would take action, but this would be enough to start over and that this man would lead the next era of humanity with the principles of the creator.
The stars we see at night are nothing more than the past, and so you see, that golden kingdom of love still exists there, the ones who made us are there, that sanctuary in Egypt tells us so. And if we keep our hearts pure and embrace those righteous teachings in our hearts then we can exist there too. Lust, envy, greed, unforgiveness and all these things are forbidden in heaven. To live without these things in the world now can be hard, but to accept the reality of our creator, that we do have a heavenly father who's work we can see in stone, right here, we can touch it. To realize we are also the work of those people. If we can realize this, that all this is true, we can open our hearts, feel their love, remember that you love your creator too and when you do this, those heavenly principles that were once left to us in stone will flow through you, and to truly live by them is much easier when it comes from a place of love, to do something for someone you love is easy, to not want to disappoint a loving father is easy. You are wanted back in heaven and through living the way we were originally taught, we can get back.

He was inspired by Seigel and Schuster's love of the John Carter of Mars (lighter gravity making him stronger and able to leap great distances) and Philip Wylie's novel Gladiator, whose main character has similar powers to scar what they ended up giving Clark. These are verifiable facts online. If you want to be religious that's fine, but don't bring it where it isn't historically accurate whatsoever. Though Seigel and Schuster were both religious (they were Jewish), they didn't incorporate their Judaism into their comics and instead emphasized concepts of Good and Evil, notably defeating Hitler.

Evolution doesn't produce an explanation for morals when you consider it more deeply. Even if through evolution social animals could develop rules for being good towards others for the sake of the good of the group, this isn't how people in western individualistic cultures actually think or even behave. People are purely motivated by selfish gains. Deep down selfishness and pride are the foundations of the current fallen human condition. Without the moral compass God imprinted in us as He created us in His image, no one could say that Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot or any mass murderer were evil. And the sad thing is that there are many who relativize the concepts of good and evil and think that these people weren't evil.

The Superman story begins with Kal-El losing his home. Of all the planets to which Jor-El could have sent his son, you have to think that Earth was chosen, not just because of the powers that Kal would acquire, but that our planet would feed his soul just as it does ours. This picture is the most beautiful depiction of that that I have seen.
Superman is more that a hero, superman is a story about hope, about home, about the beauty of this dreamy world called earth mother Gaia feeding all our souls with the more beautiful star of all the universe OUR SUN the joy, the life of the life warming all the hearts
It seems extremely fitting that Superman's in this shot. It's very in-keeping with his mythos that he would occasionally take a quiet few minutes out, hovering over a mountain range or a forest like this.

This music is absolutely incredible. It helped me recall memories I had thought were gone. Good memories I have from childhood. Granted, I had smoked beforehand, but the music basically unlocked long forgotten memories. The distorted voice sounds, to me, resemble what it sounds like when you are trying to recall memories and what people were saying in them. The memories were so happy that it made me sad. Sad enough that I literally balled my eyes out because life will never be as happy as it once was being a child for me.

Many here have expressed loneliness in a world so dark and cold but my take is just getting off to a place by yourself to reflect and get yourself centered again. At times I feel like I'm pulled in so many different directions with friends and families constantly pulling from you but sometimes you just want to get away and sit in silence. There comes a time in every persons life where you have to say am i going to stand for something or fall for anything . I feel to be a hero takes courage and that courage can produce a light so bright in you it shines up to heaven from the cold dark place many can call earth. For some reason this how I see a Superman game. There’s Metropolis and handful other DC towns and cities like Smallville, Coast City and Fawcett City spread across a large map.
But between those smaller towns and larger cities are natural environments and land. Like mountains, rivers, forests, lakes, valleys and canyons. Even some man-made structures like railroad tracks, roads, tunnels and dams.
And you the player traverse this map, while the wind blows passes you or you just take a moment to yourself and hover to see the world you’re protecting.
You press a trigger to listen and you focus to hear someone’s cries and or hear disruption indicating danger and you spring to action.
And only you can save the day. Because you’re Superman.
Superman is often here in Lauterbrunnen Switzerland flying above the Staubbach Waterfalls.

I always like in the comics, Jonathan Kent died of a heart attack. Despite all of Super Man's power, he couldn't save his father. I think it helped him have a better perspective on life.
Need to have him go to more remote places in the movies. Because he gets to see the world in a more wholistic way on a regular basis that’s part of what makes him more of a “yuppy Boy Scout” because he sees the true beauty of the world. That is the cherry on top to who he is.

This song is extremely deep but feels relaxing a little, ater being exposed to darkness It it's hard to control in my soul but it's more then likely easy to for me through practice taking deep breaths not responding to negative behaviors as I'd use it as a superpowered weapon to being proactive and resilient in life...I'm fighting off narcissistic emotional abusive bullying night night mares reminding myself that just because I've messed up and made mistakes didn't give anyone the right to humiliate me,put me down or get me to feel terrible about anyrhing some were just cold hearted with evil devious minds I'm healing from my trauma through exercising and meditations ,every day is a new war for me as much as i wanna give up i know God's got me he'll have my back no matter what.
I have responsibilities just like everyone else i need to step back take breaks stop being a savior and let things happen the way their suppose to happen sometimes.
My dad said when his time comes he'll watch over us on those mountains he will always be my superman
