As suggestion if I may, when one is trimming the inside corner's 90 degree(at approx.1:55 sec in & again at 4:38 in to video), insert a flat scrapper,(That one has modified by cutting a 90 angled point, or just use a small, thin brick layer's trowel) flush to floor, beneath the skirting, below the razor's cut, so as not to damage the flooring surface below :) .

Except all of the manufactures recommend cove base glue not contact cement and they do not recommend you smashing the lip to the floor.
It would be great if people like you who are willing to look like your real smart and bash people who actually install according to manufacture recommendations which validates the warranty btw would just look it up instead of just commenting like an uneducated MORON.

this method would take way to much time...and it would only work on perfect walls...9x out of 10 I am working with walls that are old, have holes in them, beat up, etc...the drywall guys never ever mud and sand down to the floor. They say it's the flooring installer's problem to make the base on crappy walls look good

BS. This is not how to install cove base and no, the bottom is not supposed to complete lay flat on the floor. Also, after 45 years, I rarely see walls this good. Doing this method would look like crap in most applications.
      Here are the facts.
A good installer knows all the methods of installing cove base and uses the application that best fits the job and circumstances.
Besides that, show me a single cove base manufacturer that recommends using contact cement to install their product! No, they recommend using cove base glue. They also don't recommend you push the cove base down so it fits flat on the floor. The flare they manufacture is the flare it's supposed to have what it's installed. The only reason why a person would install it like this video is if you are ignorant and don't care.

The fumes from that much contact cement will kill you real quick. Just cut the inside and outside corners completely and put one over the other. I use zero contact cement and have seen old outside corners from 5 years ago still perfect where contact would fall off. DON'T USE CONTACT CEMENT THE FUMES ARE BAD!
