I can see some sparkle in the close-up but I don't think I can see anything else, so IMO its total madness. You know what else would be TOTAL MADNESS? You using my car in a demo to dip in whatever random and crazy colors combinations you and the other viewers can come up with.
I think this color should be a mad Scientist dip to see what shifts and colors look good on top of it?
You can totally see the blue hues. The rest not so much.what about candy/juice over Polaris next time?
Hey Fonzie, I was talking with Andrew over the phone a couple minutes ago, and I was asking him about using an avalanche grey base and the spraying any color pearls with a glossy top coat ? I am stuck with avalanche grey gallons and I am wondering how I can use them. Any red pearls ? Could you maybe try in the next video if that's an interesting enough project? Andrew also told me nobody had experiences with grey base and pearl with top coat on top!
Definitely works. Subtle but makes the color pop more (which in itself is an incredible feat) and gives more depth, making the highlights pop more and shadows have more cool blue tones. That yellow by itself lends to looking rather flat. Great job 👍
I like it because it adds the subtle highlight it's missing otherwise.

I have a black 2005 dodge ram truck. I'm a retired disabled police officer with a titanium rod and bolts and a cage in my back. The color is fading. She has a newer motor. Wish she could be redone with a theme "black widow". That was my undercover name. But a single 63 year old lady hasn't got a chance to see her come to life. Great job on the car. It's gorgeous.😍

Eye-searing highlighter lime is my favorite color, and I also love pearlesesnce and iridescence, so this is so close to an ideal look for me. I do wish there was maybe a bit more iridescent to it, though, so at some angles it shifts a little more into green and teal, but from most angles it's still that florescent yellow-green; that, or the iridesecent highlights as seen here just being a more noticable deeper green.
I think you'd have to see this in person to really see how it looks, notice how grey the concrete is in the outdoor shots? The camera had to have the shutter aperature stepped down to keep the car from blowing out the shots, I'm sure there's a bunch more subtlety in the hypershift that we just cant see on camera because of how ridiculously bright this dip job is.

I think this is one of those things you gotta just see in person to appreciate but it looks good from what I can see. Have a good one man👍
Without pearl, the base color fuzzes out a car’s body lines. Now they pop right out and look crisp! Awesome combo!!!

You can see it...and it didnt take away from the brightness of the base coat...but added a blue-ish hue over it....not my personal favorite...but a stunning effect non the less!....keep it up!
You can see it. What surprises me is how intense and localized it is. It's like a spotlight is bursting from behind the yellow. Fun project.

This is a sic a** dip! That shift is so subtle and yet so out there. It’s like a ghost shift. Needless to say You my dear sir have nailed it!!

I like the gloss the topcoat added and at least in the video you get a bit of the green around the edges and a lot of the blue in the highlights. Very cool look

I can definitely see the effect. Super bright, I can see it turning heads.
I dont see a huge color shift effect but what I do see is more depth to the color than when it was on the R8. That just looked like a flat yellow (though a crazy bright yellow). With the pearl you cant mistake this for just flat yellow. Whatever the end result in person, it just makes the color much more expressive (and shiny)!!
Yes I see the Pearl that looks awesome on that gallery it toned that Polaris down add at first I was skeptical about watching it because that yeller is bright but with the hypershift Pearl it shows and it looks awesome thank you Fonzie
Its got a super subtle pine-lime shift to it. A little too subtle for my taste, but sometimes less is more. Great job Fonzie!

I'd say you guys nailed it for effect...that is without affecting the brightness. It's not my cup-o-tea for color but still looks terrific especially on this vehicle. Nicely done!

@DipYourCar Polaris is awesome by its self. The want of a pearl doesn’t really come out crazy here. Some angles from a distant looked more like a lenses flair or a color blemish. Personally. I’d rock just the good ol Polaris.
Subtle in a way that blows you away. Looks superb, however, minimal color shift imo. BUT 10/10 would spray exactly this. I'm sure the color shift is way better in person. Nice job!

Honestly this is amazing on the evo. So many sharp angles to catch it. Other cars may not work so well on. But I’m sure in person definitely a different story

If you do more colors like these, it can convince more people to dip their car instead of wrapping it. My brother is already getting his garage setup to do this exact color!! So awesome. Any chance this can work with a green to get the Candy Lime Green from Kawasaki? It is DIY for us. We would love to have it professionally done, but the dip installers in our area charge more than an arm and a leg.

Very VERY subtle. I could only make out the shift in color in the highlight, not over the base color itself. However this reminds me of something I've always kind of wanted to try with a Black base, but have a Brown or Green shifting highlight similar to this.
I’d still love to see this yellow as a base for the bluegill pearl. Maybe one day.

The subtleties of the green shifts are hot! I would like a little more personally, but I think it definitely has a place.

i can see the effect, but my brain insist in say "hey that's is a shiny matte paint!"
i'm pretty sure in person will be really better! if you upload some photos it will be more accurate, since youtube compression is horrendous, you can actually see the ground behind the car shifting a little when the camera is "point of interesting".

To me, this looks like one of the best paint jobs you could get on GTAV xD I'm not downplaying this mystique in the least. It just makes the car look less real. It's pretty amazing.

This car is so bright, if it wasn't for the hardline shadows on the ground, I'd assume you shot that footage on a dark and cloudy day. That's how much you had to adjust the camera just to see this thing. I can't imagine how bright it is in person.
It’s a good looking color, but I feel like it should be tried with maybe just a regular pearl with a similar tone to this hyper shift. The point of the hyper shifts is to make those big flips between rich colors, and you lose that over the Polaris so if the hyper shifts are a considerable amount more expensive than the regular pigments then you’re using a lot of money on something where you could possibly still achieve the same goal for less. Good video nonetheless and I always love seeing new color experiments.

My first impression was as you said, you're going to have to put 6-7 coats on to see it! I appreciate the audible. My first impression on viewing it outside was that it is a color created for a Superhero out of Marvel! My last impression was that this color is "Kryptonite"!!! Thanks for another creative success!
looks nice, but you may have to increase that purple 15-20oz. to see it from a distance. try it on a smaller spray out sample💪
