This is what the developers in Ghana should be building rather than the useless structures they put up at those exorbitant prices.
AND THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO QUOTE THE PRICES IN DOLLARS.
Yeah you rarely find a modern home with garage nowadays in Ghana..I think the developers have done a good job

This house put a lot of these estate developers to shame costing less than $150,000 on other video I watch. Just look at the lot size, a swimming pool, live wall, large land scape area for BBQ jezz and it's in Tema for that matter.
It's just sad that we couldn't appreciate the picture windows well cos of burglary proofs, it really take the beauty of having more natural light in the house... Great job here I tell you...

The house is GORGEOUS - but those metal gates on the widows by the pool brings us back to reality
I agree. Those are one of the limitations we have in design in addition to the cumbersome mosquito netting. To secure the units against theft, I will suggest to use secure wooden shutters which will in turn double as shading from the sun. That also adds on to enhance the buildings elevation.

Nice to see a house like this. Knowing that it is also sustainable is perfect. I definitely believe people building a house in Ghana should think about having more greenery/garden space. Still waiting for wooden floors to be installed in the homes rather than tiled floors everywhere. Also better kitchens and the use of space in the kitchens. Thanks for this. It would be helpful to have details of the cost of building such a home in ghana.

It feels undervalued compared to the ridiculous prices quoted for many houses in Accra.
@@africanmindsetserieswith current rate, GHC 1,000,000 is almost $140,000 USD. There's no way or magic that money can build this house.
This house was built 3 years ago so the current rate does not apply. Also the amount is for the shell not including finishes and furnishing.
@@BIGsmallSpaces I agree with you. The cost of building a house is different from its market value. Based on recent estimates I have seen for a 4 bed /2 floor storey building in Tema, with $75,000 one can actually erect a full building up to roof level.
The issue in Ghana is the exorbitant prices charged by developers. It is a lot cheaper to build than people think.
@@revelationat2g1 Actually, I think $140k is a lot of money and can comfortably be used to erect a storey building in Ghana. Don't let those developers and their unrealistic prices make you think otherwise. There are many people building in ghana, who are kindly sharing their journey with us on CZcams and I can comfortably say that with less the $100k, one can erect a 2 floor storey buiding/ family home....

@@BIGsmallSpaces Now I know how much of a rip off it is to buy a house back home, rather than building one for yourself. I too was shocked about the price you quoted, because the prices normally quoted by real estate agents for similar properties would suggest a magnitude of 3 to 5 times what this costs.

Subtle. Not overly done. Very beautiful.
That plant is a canna lily, very similar to bird of paradise. They aren’t native to Africa, from South America but think they can do fine there as it’s sunny most of time with enough rain
