The production on this is pretty epic. The camera angles and scenes from the cinematic shots are definitely true to the "cinema" portion. There are a few instances where an enemy is captured on a cam prior to that area being breached that gives you just enough time to wonder how the team will react (predictably amazing). 10/10.

They spend a ton of time training to help them overcome their emotions and reactions, its still crazy stuff but they are very prepared for it
Obviously video games arent close to real life, but i think ready or not depicts this pretty well, since its random who is where and who has a gun each time
Yeah just looking at it in game where they're moving around a room perfectly calmly and there's just dead bodies all over the place it's hard to appreciate that this sort of shit actually happens

having never been police or military i just now realize how difficult it could be to clear certain buildings. with the limited manpower and when every door leading to multiple other doors i am impressed with how good their tactics were(coming from someone who knows very little about room clearing)

@@asdfgidji879 the general purpose of what they're doing is to move from 1 side of the building to the other, without leaving any unsearched rooms behind them. There is a line of scrimmage in the building. While moving every decision they make is based on getting the most visual information as possible while concealing their physical presence. A great example is "slicing the pie" when passing a doorway, window, etc, you aim at the corner as you sweep so that as soon as something can see you, you're already aiming at it.
From there some basics are dont stand in front of closed doors, dont cross infront of your mates gun, maintain situational awareness.
Another thing I noticed… when you guys were split and bottle necking/converging back into one another… you’d flash your lights to let your squadron know “hey it’s me” minimizes the threat of friendly fire without having to speak 👌🏾

This could almost be used as a case study for tactical training sims, if the ai was realistic you could literally use this game for training sims. Great work, good coms, very entertaining.
If the game allows, alternatively, you could do force on force to push the training even further. Then you don't even have to deal with AI.
I used to do that with the old swat 4, my group of friends would play online, one sub-group would be the possible terrorists placed in strategic places and the other the swat team that needs to clear them up.
New update for America's army type of game idea they are pushing for as FPs becomes more intense. in the coming years
Maybe for learning tactics but muscle memory plays a huge part in combat. Nothing beats the physical training
@@AstriaTVTruthExposed That's true, but it does make it easier to get different environments to get an idea of how to do stuff better

US Army disabled combat vet ( truck was blown up on my 2nd back to back tour in 07) nobody has said it so I will.
There is a damn fine reason why they instill the mindset of "slow is smooth and smooth is fast" in training. Muscle memory makes the whole task easier because when your muscles already know the drills you need, your mind is more readily free to communicate and focus.
Excellent game play, Id 100% clear rooms with you guys in real life anytime, although I don't think my spine can take it anymore (couldn't walk, then wheelchair, crutches, and had to relearn to walk right with therapy).
Fucking great comment 👍
Imagine if in the final stages of development, they added an AI similar to that in alien: isolation. It learns your tactics, and uses tactics of its own in real time. It is adaptive and terrifying
Interesting 🤔
I was thinking that the whole time watching this. When we get to the point where video game's NPCs evolve from a bot like state to true AI, watching professional soldiers play these games will be beyond immersive and borderline stimulation excercises for them. Great spectator sport for the rest of us untrained wannabes lol.
*simulation
@@snazzynasty1493 Not a shooter, but in the newest Gran Turismo, they used an AI that trained with data from the top players and then successfully beat them but taking better lines, etc.
@@snazzynasty1493 AI can already do that if it wanted. The reason you don't see it in FPS is because there's no competition there, a computer merely wins on brute force. It "sees", "responds", and "acts" immediately -- Making our "immediate" look like years. Some cool places to see examples of this is AI being used in Starcraft 2 and Dota 2. A way that some of these tactics would more realistically be applied would look more like these games, where there were limits placed on the computers (to not be able to win against people by brute force) and emphasize the learning (AI in games is used for learning so that it can be applied in the real world) aspect. In both games, the AI's were able to beat grandmasters and top players *AND* develop new optimization and techniques, which helped the best human players learn and improve as well.
For Dota 2, you want to look up OpenAI 5, which will show you a 5v5, 5 individual AI's using teamwork to beat a professional human team.
For Starcraft 2, you'll want to look up AlphaStar.
AlphaStar was preceded by AlphaGo and AlphaZero, which play at grandmaster levels (the highest level) in Chess, Go, and Shogi. These also helped humans to learn and improve their gameplay, if you dig in this rabbit hole, look up "engine moves", which are moves played that people consider non-human, which is why they've been coined "engine moves".
I hope you enjoy the rabbit hole :)
Teamwork makes the dream work…that is how it’s done gentlemen..👍

A pro comp for a fps game is played by untrained gamers. Our guys are professionals in military communication and transferring that into a fps video game is seamless. Appreciate the eyes on and comment Cody, stay safe brother👍🏼
dude... these dudes actually faced life or death situation in real life 'playing' as a team. Can't believe you compare them to GAMERS lol
Different communication needs. This is a simulation of high stakes scenarios for which these guys have trained. No shade on being able to call "falling off mid and throwing a fake triple" though. They're still games, pros are pros.
Edit: not trying to downplay the skill. Extremely interesting to get this inside look into squad mechanics. Loved it. Thanks!
@@GLIDGaming tbf professional gamers are very much trained in whatever they play, for the most part, but yeah, I obviously know what you mean, a very different kind of training from IRL dangerous military/police work training. Plus this is a more sim like FPS approach (though obviously very imperfect esp with AI 😆) - whereas most of the main FPS pro played games like Counter Strike, Valorant, Apex even R6 are much more twitch shooters in comparison to this game and how your squad is playing it here and how those other mainstays in the pro FPS scene are played at that level competitively. IRL type Tactics, Safety, Tightness are much more favored in this setting, whereas sort of sports play tactics, mouse precision, and reaction time etc are more favored in those other games (and they're free to take more risks and make flashy plays).
@@minge9 Yet a team of pro gamers could've cleared this entire level in 5 minutes. These guys are good for the simulation approach, but a "GAMER" who knows the AI behavior, spawn tendencies, the layout etc could've solo'd this entire level
This is some interesting work. They've turned an unpredictable and chaotic situation into controlled variables and it feels more like a surgical procedure than it does a gunfight, especially in combination with all the tools and tactics being used. In essence, it feels like they could do this over and over perfectly regardless of which variables change.
That my friend is the point of training and drills. I’d love to play with them, being SOT I could fall in pretty easily we use some different terminology but the base fundamentals are the same. I love this video
i love how much they communicate. to make it more like a real video game experience there should be at least one guy from russia (not speaking any other language) and a french (able to speak english, but refusing)
take the ping hit and go NA hahahaha
I love how adamant they are with their gun safety, not once daring to point their weapons at one-another
But their crosshair placement is horrible if it were irl. Looking at a general space rather than specific angles, corners, or doorways where people could actually come from. After watching so much irl body camera footage as a hobby it kinda was off putting.
@@jasongale3773 I think a common issue in FPS games is lateral movement in unfamiliar spaces. In real life you have peripheral vision to avoid obstacles while focusing your gaze in a direction you aren't looking, in a game its often easier to look straight to avoid running into obstacles and also to move faster.
@@jasongale3773 Because it's easier to see in game if ur crosshair is pointed down and that is the difference between game and real life
@@jasongale3773 as others said its sadly still a video game, games arent just like real life maybe with VR
@@jasongale3773 body cam footage and the game are both inaccurate representations of IRL since they are fixed and subject to that limitation that only the audience can see. It is really the viewpoint of the camera or the games HUD. Real life is different in that there are more variables we dont see, such as movement of the weapon and eyes, head independently (which we have no control of in game). So in real life, they would be using peripheral vision and lateral awareness to see everything else while focused on the target area, but in this game, periphery doesn't work so they need to "move the gun/crosshair down" to see making us think they are aren'
t pointing properly.
Having seen this game before, I can say that it is extremely brutal and difficult. I goes to show how effective or military/swat tactics are, seeing as they successfully navigated this nightmare without a single casualty. Good job everyone!

I just played it first time yesterday, on nightclub I think, took me hours to finish, and I got injuried, imagine doing that irl.

@@zxdiacvfx4912 "Body is moving" "Not anymore".
Picked this game up two days ago and haven’t found it hard. The tactics we use IRL definitely apply to the game but the AI don’t act in the same way people do. Especially when reacting to OC or CS but I can’t knock it too hard because it is a game and what they’ve put in place is the best I’ve seen yet I would love to see some things added. The flash bang is good and all but I want 3 and 9 bangers as well, think like a string of black cats vs an M80( the M80 being the current bang in game)
Also does anybody know why the devs don’t allow OC or Tazer to be used while running the shield or why the lights on the shield can’t be turned on for use or strobe? Those would be nice to have as well.
This is EXACTLY what the developers & makers of these games expect from gamers. This is how it’s meant to be played. Awesome video guys! Top draw.
Just wish I can find people like minded to enjoy on team sessions, cuz most people are utter numpties and don’t work as a team properly.

The biggest thing I notice is that there is a whole set of terms for each different action. There is a leader shot calling what needs to happen, and everyone else is communicating concise information to that leader. Every stage is stop, plan, execute, set security, and make a new plan for the next stage, but it happens so fast and efficient there is very little break, but when they need a break, such as to set a wedge in a door, the whole team stops to enable it. Pure efficiency. This feels like what a group of gamers would look like if they had a pause and plan option door kickers style between each stage. That's honestly scary levels of efficiency.

I'd love to see a video with an explanation on a lot of the terms, callouts, and so on used in these kinds of scenarios by your team. It would make a lot of situations a lot easier to follow for people, plus it could let other players adopt those tactics into their own playstyle for these games.
Wedge = self-explained :P peek/swing door = small/full door open, threshold = opening for others to cover or "plug", tango/suspect = armed badguy, contact = attacking enemy, stack = queue (by a doorway most often), and a bunch more I'm sure :P there's usually different variants (some call it "slicing the pie" when peeking a door for instance) but mean same thing. "TOC" is tactical operations centre if I recall from SWAT 4 and entry team is the SWAT element, EMT is medical personnel moving in as "trailers" after location is secured.
@@mikfhan Could you help me out with the term at 17:04 and 17:12 (the "I need a tap(?)" and "tap tap")? I couldn't figure out what it meant with a Google search.
@@leggie6092 IRL when stacking on the door, it’s common to tap each other to silently indicate readiness to enter the breach.
When GLID says “I need a tap” I think he’s saying that he needs confirmation that he has a 2-man behind him ready to enter, and saying “tap tap” out loud takes the place of the silent tap because you obviously can’t feel that in a video game
@@HH-bi8dt Thank you!
Peek = Move the door slightly and begin to "pie" the door (i.e. move in an arcing motion to gradually gain more information on the other side of the threshold.
Stack = Line up by a threshold to "flow" (move in) through clearing sectors of responsibilities.
Point = Lead/front of stack
Plug = Secure and hold an area of responsibility
Holes = Any openings or thresholds
Tap/Squeeze (Depends on SOP) = A tap on shoulder or a squeeze giving positive feedback to point. Originates from rear.
Last Man = Literally the last man holding rear security usually.
T-Junction = How a corridor is laid out, like a T-Section of a road.
Center Fed = A door opening "feeding" into a center of a room.
Corner Fed = A door situated on a corner of a room.
Deep = Farther out into the room.
Tango = Hostile (Tango is phonetic for Target.)
Exfil = Exfiltration (To get out of an area)
Flashing = A signal "blue" (friendly) is about to exit and for his teammates not to flag him or shoot him. You can also call out "friendlies coming out"
Contact Front = Communication where you are taking fire or seeing hostile.
On Me = Command signaling you're taking point or you need more guns at your sector of fire
Stairs = More difficult to maintain security, one guy will usually hold security for the opposite/non-direction of travel.
One thing I noticed is they weren't calling out deadspace, which are essentially spaces that furnitures/objects obstruct your vision. Think under a table or behind a couch.
This is what the internet was made for; a nice wholesome community of gaming military (ex)personnel
Agreed and thank you brother 💪
Gotta love the Brits. The amount of positive feedback, the pat on the shoulder type of thing. Love it. Don't get me wrong, you all are doing a great job, especially with the limits this game has. You all are communicating, owning up to mistakes and whatnot, yet keep going like it's no tomorrow. Brilliant video guys, just brilliant. 😁
Fantastic comment and we appreciate it 👊🏼

This gives us a whole new experience about the game, but yeah when it comes down to the real field. NO GAMES. SO COOL to be in their POV! SALUTE SIR!
9:40 The way Glid shot him one more time after he was down had me wowed, that execution shot😆
dead checking cause he might still get back up or reach for a gun irl

Mannnn this was SUPER dope!!! 🔥 you guys moved like a effective team and with precision.
Always been a major fan of games like this! Seeing you guys play this with such precision proves there are many ways to play the game. I very much enjoyed the calm, clear tone you guys talk in, and rarely ever talk over eachither expect to show Priority onto a change in scene!
Earned a sub for me, keep uo the good work boys!
Glad you enjoyed it! You have a serious backlog and new video log to work through 😆❤️👊🏼🔥
Nicely done, lads. Just 2 comments from the civilian end of things: Flashbangs in hospitals are a dangerous gamble, because there are oxygen cylinders and oxygen lines *everywhere*. They go boom quite spectacularly. Also a reason why you should consider carefully what weapons to use, bc those walls contain the gas mains - if you're really unlucky, they also have nitrous running right next to them, and that combo makes for a world of pain. (Very, very short pain, tho.) Second, flashbangs can kill kids - who are likely present in a hospital.
Stay safe.
Suppressors are really solid safety devices for scenarios with flammable chemicals like that.
@@robertelmore3616 you have to have seen a fire in the presence of oxygen. Even a subsonic round can damage a valve or a tank - by itself not a big deal, until somebody throws a flashbang into an oxygen enriched atmosphere (or sets something on fire by other means). THAT is when you land in the deep end.
And by deep end I mean burn ward. If you're lucky.
And then there are the scanners
@@racheljennings1688ahh, the unforeseen consequences and intrinsic possibilities for
unexpected situational comedy of a 1.5 Tesla magnetic field...
The map felt so claustrophobic, even from watching it, it’s like the environment was already forcing you into a gunfight, one in which it will make you hold your breath to the suspense.
Really cool to watch experienced Marines play this. Awesome stuff guys. Thank you for your service IRL!! 👊🤠
Thank you for your comment 👊
I have a limited understanding on how the military operate in the field so I think it's really neat to watch professionals do stuff like this in a video game.
this was so smooth to watch, professionals working like this is amazing to see. A lot of training and dedication and trust with this team.
Glad you enjoyed it!
There’s something so satisfying about hearing good communication, incredible teamwork and professionalism.
Watching these badasses clear up the building and knowing it’s basically muscle memory for them because of real life experience makes you want to be a badass like them. Thank You for your sacrifices! Much respect 🫡
Appreciate your comment my brother 👊🏻
Extremely refreshing to see some gameplay that isn't people just running through and dying a ton... Progress seems slow, but it is steady, secure, and efficient. Love it. Looking forward to watching more of the vids :D
It's realistic others who play the game are untrained idiots who should delete their CZcams channels and only play Mario kart.

The best edited GLiD video yet, hands down. The op was really smooth n solid. Those unison flows around corners in third person just gave me goosebumps
Thx brother 👍🏻 Jakes from cinematic gaming experience did the editing..
This was so dope to watch. Man I would love to play with people like this any time! The communication between everyone was so clean, nobody yelling, nobody talking over anyone. Everyone gave and followed orders, just awesome to watch. Definitely gained a new follower from me! Salute and respect! 🫡🫡

I don't know what impressed me more, the production quality on the video or the communication and gameplay :D would of loved to see the final results from their mission though :3
Seamless Signals, Flawless Victories.
As a former "comms" expert, this was really enjoyable to watch! Great teamwork, and truly wonderful communication!
Glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate the comment bro 👊🏼
This is honestly so excellent. I'm not someone who's intimately familiar with how this sort of thing works in real life but even from my perspective of significant interest but unquestionably limited knowledge, it's impossible to watch this without recognizing genuine professionals at work. A lot of people who know far more than I ever will have said more than I ever could in other comments, but it still really feels like something I want to contribute a voice to, even if what I can say with it might not be especially profound.
I genuinely cannot imagine what it would be like to maintain this degree of discipline and courage even in a tense video game, let alone when actual lives are on the line. It isn't new to me to be amazed by this, I've watched similar content, but... I dunno. Again, I can't quite get at something very essential with just words, but I think my biggest takeaway in the end is just... immense respect, which I expected going in, but that doesn't diminish it in any way. I don't know. Honestly, from my perspective, even just the ability to suppress the freeze response in a situation like this feels almost magical. Knowing that it's not, though, that it's absolutely possible for human beings in a mundane world to reach a point like this through hard work, dedication, communication, and so many other things I struggle to put into words...
... Yeah, respect really is the only word for it, even if that one word is still wildly insufficient. Thank you for making this, and thank you for being the sort of people who are both able and willing to risk everything to accomplish similar terrifying but necessary things in reality. As a civilian, all I can do is appreciate it, on a deeper level than I can really get across just through language (and I'm literally a writer). I'm not typically fond of calling people heroic because I think I conceptualize "heroism" in a very different way than a lot of people do, but choosing to go through so much and to wager quite literally everything like this IRL ought to be heroic by anybody's definitions, mine included.
Appreciate the excellent comment, thank you.
This is the best teamwork I've seen you guys do so far, damn that was a privilege to witness! 👏👏👏
and this is why I love Pros doing their job in videogames, because you get to see in full force display the skills, knowledge, training and teamwork that normally only a few people in every million even know about.
The way you move, the way you maintain situational and tactical awareness, and *especially* the way you communicate are all superb, and whilst I would love to hear a breakdown behind some reasoning behind this or that, like e.g. why some of the guys had pistols drawn at times, I still feel like I can walk away from this video having learned things, just watching you cut your angles and move as a single group organism.
Honour to you and your bretheren, man, and I hope you're having a good one.
Appreciate the comment
this video just exposed me for the soft cupcake I truly am, I had to remind myself its a video game, my heart was racing 😂😂what an absolute masterpiece, well done to everyone involved, you guys definitely deserve millions of subscribers keep going!

This video highlights the importance of communication above all else. As a gamer I can see that these guys aren't the best of the best when it comes to shooters but it doesn't matter because they all understand what they are doing and they communicate calmly and clearly. 10/10 Will be sharing this as a coaching lesson.
