    There's not a single watercolor brand in the Philippines that Allan Jay hasn't thoroughly reviewed. His channel is so helpful. He reviews brands from the entire spectrum - cheapest to most premium.

      I love how he also adds painting so you can see how he layers and he’s really nice. His channel is one of the best for figuring out watercolor brands.

    It’s always a joy to watch you paint 🥰 The shadows of her sleeve contrast so well with the white highlights!

    I just knew those were Allan's watercolor :') I got some of my paints from him with my collection! Sadly, I haven't painted that much in the longest time. Maybe I will after building up the inspiration to paint

    Yes, the phthalo blue (green shade) is a great pigment from Daniel Smith! I would totally recommend their phthalo green (blue shade), too. It is AMAZING!!!! Super saturated and makes the most beautiful mixes, especially with alizarin crimson (makes a gorgeous purplish black). Phthalo green is probably my favorite pigment from Daniel Smith so far. It’s also very transparent and non-granulating. A must-have!!! Do you have Arches cold press paper? That’s my favorite paper to use with the transparent Daniel Smith colors for layering. Anyway, your painting style inspires me so much!!!!! Thank you for sharing

    I learned to paint using oils and am self taught with watercolour. Some of the yellows, oranges and reds are new to me in Daniels watercolours..are they pure pigments? I always use ultramarine and pthalo blue in my palette. Sometimes I add Prussian blue and Cerulean blue if I need it. Indian yellow is one of my favourite pigments!

      @PolyvoreThea Před rokem +2

      I used to work for Daniel Smith. They use pure pigments. The very best and finest ground. All of their colors are worth it - but try the Quinacridone pigments. Very best reds, pinks golds and purples. Also try Lunar Black - wet into wet! Incredible texture because it’s magnetic. If you drop water droplets in it - it is just like moon craters.

      Yes, they are true pigments without fillers. Many are created using wonderful natural minerals and natural ingredients. I began using these wonderful fine watercolors about 30 years ago. I do also use other brands yet DS watercolors are superb. I also use many earthtones as many of my paintings are of natural environments. I do so enjoy watching and learning from CZcams demos.
