Give Hannah all the awards. Just perfect . Hacks is the best show on tv right now
Hannah better win her Emmy this year. She's been deserving since Season 1. What a finale! It was a real rollercoaster of emotions.
This show’s writing so far is as amazing as acting and cast chemistry.
The best scene I’ve seen in television in 3 years
There are so many layers to this.
The pain in Ava’s voice when she pleads with Deborah in that confrontation was so palpable that I was in tears with her. It was a continuation of the sentiment of trauma from being fired, ignored and feeling abandoned at the start of the season that you almost forgot about but was immediately brought back to through her response to Jean’s cruelty. Hannah delivered 1000% all season long alongside Jean’s always-legendary performance.
1) “Stop crying” was so triggering to me. Dismissing someone else feeling in the worst thing ever.
2) at 1:115 and on Hannah explains it so well about how Ava is feeling and how she understands why Deborah is scared.
That fear Deborah is having, is not because Ava doesn’t deserve the job or Ava is not qualified for the position. No no no! Her fear is coming from losing everything because of Frank, who she was in a relationship with (you know husband and wife). And when Ava entered Deborah’s life after being lonely for over 40 yrs, she’s scared to lose that partnership and her dream job.
Ava said: “You said you needed me!”
Deborah: “I do, but not to be my head writer.”
That line is so meaningful because Deborah literally expresses HOW she wants Ava in her life. Jobs will come and go, but having Ava in her life, Deborah wants her to stay and she doesn’t want Ava to jeopardize that dream even if Ava knows that by teaming up together IS how the show will success.
Deborah is SO internally conflicted.
I wil end this by saying : Hannah you deserve that Emmy ! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
OF COURSE Ava loves Deborah. Hannah has been playing it that way since season one.❤
Hannah deserves Emmy’s Best Supporting Actress for this episode & scene. Jean should win all awards for her brilliant extraordinary portrayal playing DV not just for this episode & scene but all episodes & seasons of Hacks . She’s won 2 she deserves to walk away with her 3rd . Jean is beyond amazing
I felt that scene
This scene BROKE ME! I was right with Hannah on her emotions in this scene. I FELT them. Such an amazing performance by both of them.
The best is coming in season 4, but Hannah deserves the Emmy
Deborah's finally meeting the monster she created, her own mirror. 👏 What's amazing is that Ava's having to do it is more out of her love for Deborah than spite 💔, that she still wants to stay regardless everything cause she knows Deb needs her. Ava is the only one who can really help make Deb's show good because of their relationship and she knows Deb. It goes without saying that Ava deserves to be the headwriter. It's heartbreaking that Deb's fear decapitates her to see & admit it all.
Give HANNAH her Emmy! 💯 And give the writers and the show their Emmys too!
Jean hands down deserves to win her 3rd Emmy playing Debra not just for this episode & scene but numerous others.
I have watched that final scene a dozen times. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Same here!! I felt every bit of it.😢
I love a good All About Eve reference. I said the same thing myself. The writing is sharp like that film and Margo/Eve has some parallels to Ava/Deborah. ❤
I ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Me SOME Jean Smart
Deep scene.
Amazing
First one here❤❤❤❤
If this does not get a S4, we riot.
Already renewed for S4 :)
