Omg same... I went on vacation to Hungary in college and their voltage is different there with the wall plugs. I had an adapter but not a VOLTAGE adapter... so I was using my hair dryer and the coils inside turned BRIGHt orange!! So I stopped using it the rest of the time I was there
When I came back to America I plugged it in to use it and it EXPLODED and turned all black!!!!
Needless to say I’m very scared of hairdryers now.

Kitty Love haha just make sure the voltage is the same, then you can use a plug adapter. My mistake was that I didn’t have a voltage adapter 😂😂😂

theyare actually really easy to do. all you have to do is make sure you kinda section things somewhat properly and twist on your finger. you feel the curl as you curl it to make sure you are not missing any hairs.
My grandmother make her curls watching tv in the living room without the light on or mirrors. I have all ways made fun of her and how she does that.

Those curlers require perm paper the hold the ends of the hair around the rod so that you can roll them up.

Those perm curlers need perm papers to be folded over the ends before rolling. They came in boxes and papers were like a sort of greasepapery type tissue about 2 inches by 2 inches which allowed perm and neutralizer solution to pen et rate. It helped the ends of the hair to be properly curled and not bent and be frizzy. Hair was much shorter and easier to perm.
Just imagine your grandma saying she has a hand cramp while doing this 😂😂❤️

So yes it is inaccurate, especially when disney set the character's appearance and ethnicity in the first film. It is the same as making Mulan a white European girl. Mulan was also a Chinese story that has Chinese roots. Sure it is all fiction, but it's disrespectful towards the culture the story came from originally.
