Cirith ungol was fantastic album, my album of the week was sylvatica - cadaver synod, definitely worth a listen if you like your metal melodic and atmospheric 👌🏻🤘🏻
Not going to lie. I completely skipped Sentenced 2 Die because, well... Lets face it, the name is bad. So this gave me the push I needed to try it.

I have avoided the whole Myrkur thing being a closed-minded Kvlt Black Metal fan. After your recommendation, I listened to it. I have just bought that and Folkesange. At first, I thought, ok, it's ok. Then I got sucked into a dreamscape where I was flying over the Fjords of some distant ancient world.

Cirith Ungol is good instrumental, but the vocal wasn't varied enough for me to keep me interested. Too much of the same, perhaps?
Sylvatica - Cadaver Synod , however that is damn good. Some Finntroll and Wintersun influences in there.
Im also really enjoying the Cirith Ungol album, its the epitome of a grower imo. At first i thought it was just okay, but a couple of spins later and i really enjoy it! Tims vocals are an aquired taste, but i tend the gravitate to the more 'difficult' singers, so i like em. By the way, its pronounced Kirrith not Sirrith, but I'll forgive you lol

After a rigorous diet of Cannibal Corpse and Sulphur Aeon, the Myrkur album was a wee bit of a shift for me but I love it now. Hey the Dream Unending/Worm split is also pretty good

I wasn't sure if I was going to add anything to my lists this week, but you changed my mind on most of these. Also looking forward to listening to Myrkur's new one.
Side note, a few years back when my daughter was a baby and she would wake up in the middle of the night, I would try playing all types of lullabies and music to sooth her. Myrkur was the only one that worked for her.

Forgot to say, I had already heard a couple of the Myrkur tracks. One of the things I like about the album is that it's so varied.
Asagraum are incredible, loved dawn of infinite fire but I think this is even better

Especially when i really like atmospheric black metal and DSBM. Thank you for introducing me to new metal music Without having to do my own research this time. None of my friends are into metal and when they listen to metal, it's pirate metal, yuck! 🤢🤮
Don't get me wrong I like a lot of subgenres. Including metalcore. But if it doesn't have the slightest dark sound or if it sounds too funny/cute. i just don't wanna listen to it.
Haha. Cirith is pronounced with a hard C sound. So Kirith Ungol. Same with Celtic Keltic, not Seltic, lol. The album is amazing
