As a Costco shareholder, I love these heart warming stories.
Yoo, same 😆
They are a good buisness imo
Yup. Even at 800, I still think its a good buy.
My Costco just hands you the bars, no boxes.
Just called a Costco near me (Syracuse, NY). The lady on the phone said they do sell PAMP bullion Au bars, but they haven't had a shipment in 6 weeks. Out of stock currently.
We always have in stock 😉
Getting gold for a few dollars over spot and getting cash back. That's tough to beat!
And no sales tax! That's huge!
They shouldn't be taxing MONEY anyway 😮💨
They've succeeded in getting people to think fiat Is money (rather than empty currency/debt)
Instead of actual sound money (gold, etc)
It was illegal to tax money, like paying 1.25 when you trade in 4 quarters... like whut?
My son in law, buy two and paid tax!!!
@@SleepyMagii exactly. Can't tax on a debt. Taxation is theft. This is why no one should be paying income tax anymore.
Just imagine if your Grandpa buried a few gold coins in the backyard in 1933 when the government was paying $20 per ounce. That $20 quietly grew to $2,400+.
in 1933, you could by a freshly tailored suit for $20. Today, that same suit would cost $2400.00. Its all relevant.
@@sorenk.9595 IOW, you wouldn't be rich today, you'd only have preserved your wealth.
@@sorenk.9595 BING !
@@sorenk.9595 Buying a tailored or even a freshly tailored suit is probably the last thing I would ever buy. However, If I'm shopping at Costco for my gold bars, I'm also buying all the toilet paper I can stuff into my truck while I'm there! 😁
And - some of that Gold is still in the ground for many towns like Anaheim CA, established in 1857. Just need to know where to dig.
Fully agreed, buy from locals who also supply in sealed packs. Remember when these corporate were not around, these gold coins were still selling.
The Au coins sell SO FAST from their app. I watched over the weekend as they sold out of 1 oz Maples then Buffalos then Eagles. Wish I could say I was the one who bought them out, but I’m happy for everyone who is stacking these into their deep stacks.
Mus be because of the cash backs. They literally sell under spot price, no wonder they're bought out all the time.
Reason is they are the cheapest in price. Even here people wants a brand name.Same purity and same weight .
Probably Switzerland enjoys better goodwill than Australia.
Haven’t found any gold or silver bars in any of the Arizona locations yet 😢. Thanks for sharing!
Geez, now I have to go to my local Costco and investigate! That was a SpegTacular price on gold bullion especially with the cash back!! 👍🏼✌🏼
That's a nice one! Wholesale gold ! How about a video on pay dirt? Thx for another inside deal video 😊
Good overview, new subscriber! I just. Bought my my first bar and first gold eagle last week, was lucky to find it online. Where did you get the precious metal validator?
Costco bullion purchases are good for mitigating state sales tax. I have the executive membership, and the citi costco visa, but have yet to see any bullion in the store. Great purchase at any price. Thanks for sharing.
just bought 10 silvers in costco in clarkston wa
am i the only one that missed the part when he returned the gold???
He returned "for" gold, meaning he returned for more.
Costco does not offer refunds for bullion.
Buy it if you have cash but don’t need them.
Spectacular Channel, Thanks.
Welcome to Costco - I love you - Gold bars? Last aisle on the right
Welcome to Costco, I love you. Welcome to Costco, I love you 🤣🤣
Thank you for a great presentation. the 2% rebate is awesome.
2% cash back, plus 3% Credit card, 5% / 4% WOW nearly $100 less. I wish we got those deals here in the UK bud. That is awesome that Cosco sells these
Can’t beat Costco! Hey Speg, why not get a gold eagle for the same price with Costco online? Or Maple for $2,390 right now! They recently started charging a little more for buffalos.
Have been working on a list to buy a lot of bulk goods at Costco I don't have a membership currently but when I get one really plan on making the most of it. I'm always going to need Rotel can of Olives can of mushrooms so I can see myself buying 144 of each. In addition to that I guess I would buy silver and gold at Costco.
Great video. You're better of buying Pre-33 $20 Saint Gaudens Gold Double Eagle Coin (MS64, PCGS or NGC). They are worth more and .9675 ounce by themselves.
Cool video great purchase beautiful bracelet
5 ? Yes quite an Expensive Purchase for sure 👍
Thanks for the great video! God bless you!
The last time I bought gold (American gold eagles) I got 3 OZ at just over $1250 each.(including the premium) The obvious plus is that My investment has just about doubled. The negative is that I cant bring myself to buy any more gold because I know how much it used to be.
And then there are of those of that live in ‘The Silver State’….the great state of Nevada. And we pay sales tax, almost 9%. How much does that suck? The Silver State…hmmmph.
Need to be lobbying your representatives to get rid of bullion tax
Across the pond we pay 18% sales tax on all gold and silver and it's hard to find. There is always someone worse off than you. Be grateful.
18%. Wow. It wouldn’t even be worth
buying. You are taking an 18% haircut the day you get it, much less spot, below spot, premiums…it would be tough to ever get ahead.
@@efr2681 yep it's not easy and we have one of the highest costs of living and low wages. You have to love communism, I think they like to call it a democracy so the natives don't get restless.
Chapter 372 coins bars and rounds are tax exempt. However you are screwed on siler and gold eagles as they are worth more than 50% over face value. Kinda dumb huh?
In Costco CA I cannot find Costco selling Gold Bar Silver Bar; besides, we must pay sales tax to buy bullion in CA.
We had it in our CA Costco. I didn’t get it in a box though!
I just bought it today in los angeles
Probably because if you had exposed gold in LA it gets robbed immediately
Mine wasn't taxed
gold should not be taxed 😡
It would off been nice if Cosco had it 5 years ago when Gold was at 1053 bucks an once.
I buy it directly from the bank here in Asia with vin number….. so if they say is fake u can sue them….
how are you gonna sell it for full price? or you bought for your grand kinds?
hows it work buying silver and gold coins off walmart
I hope Costco will check the Gold Bar returns to make sure the returned item is not an Ebay fake. I can see scammers buying the real bar and trying to return a fake one.
How do you get them, always sold out.
What a spectacular deal..
Wanted to get 2 of these last fall and prices were much better but unfortunately, it kept going up and now, price is too high for me 😢
Nice Pick Up!
finally found silver bars at Costco.. had a 10 ea limit... yep .. got me 10.. was lucky I got them.. they move fast in the stores
Did you have it assayed? I shop at Costco but with a great deal of caution because I do not trust them one bit (for good reason). BTW, why the fancy outer box and its cost? Today, 3 weeks hence, gold is $2,326 down $89 if your $5 premium is correct.
Thank You very much sir.
Greetings from Canada .
Very helpful video
Is this for collection? I am wondering why overpaying for gold when prices have not surpassed 2,250.27 in the stock market YTD?
Thank you for the video.
Nice good luck thanks spectacular See you on the next one
Have you ever checked to see if they have the Lunar Dragon bar or the Fortuna anniversary bar?
Costco deals became very scarce over the last year.
Wondering how they still stay afloat with those prices.
Because Costco knows the price of gold and silver will drop and all these fools especially baby boomers will lose a lot of heir savings, because of greed...
Gday @Speg hope you are having a awesome week
we need to say the pledge every day, thanks.
Would be great if Cosco would buy back the gold bars at a reasonable bid/ask. Would really make gold "liquid", put your savings in gold, use it to buy groceries.
So when everyone says Cosco sells out, it makes sense if they only get 5 in at a time. Misleading. Great deal though
I buy my gold bullion, maple leafs ,eagles, and silver from JM Bullion in Dallas.
Hello how much for the verifier? Thx (where to buy?) Thx
About 1200+
I seen them just personally like bullion coins better.. I seen that alot of ppl don't really like those bars..
90 off wow buy me one next time lol
I live in Las Vegas and our Costco stores will not accept credit cards only debit cards or cash or check. The exception is their own credit card I suppose if they have one. I'm not sure about that.
Our Costco won’t accept cash and only VISA credit cards and debit cards. Check is ok still I believe.
I expect gold bars to be a lot BIGGER than this SD card-size thingy.
That’s an amazing deal
Support your Local coin shop. You’ll be crying when they close because you are supporting the corporates
Yep Costco won't buy it back from you. By selling and not buying the locals will be buying back that much more then they can sell wich will in turn reduce the price they are able to buy it for
If I'm not mistaken 1 Troy ounce of gold is $2356 . July 04/24
@@trevorgwelch7412 $2419 is still not a bad retail price
Thank you for the video I had a question if you or anyone can answer my question I would greatly appreciate it. How much is the street price if one was to buy it from Costco then sell it elsewhere.
I'm confused by the "street price" but each shop will generally give you different amounts depending on what's happening in the market at the time of sale. Not only is the spot price considered, but demand and ease of that particular shop to obtain metals could play a factor.
When they make a loss by the cash backs this won't fly forever. Use it as long they offer it!
I didn’t see you return it? That price is average. You can get that at any online dealer.
Not "returned four bars" but "returned for bars" meaning he went back to the store to make a purchase of bars.
would be funny if our Costco actually offered.
Gold is still $20/Oz, the dollar has been devalued.
Location?
Haven’t really paid attention but 999.9 is a little odd. Seems like it should be 99.99?
Cost co pay you when you use city bank card , but you pay membership $120 per year, you get only 2% that all
What happens at Costco if you were to return the Gold bar when spot price has dropped? Do they give you back what you paid for it?
Costco does not give refunds or returns for the gold or silver. They have big signage to warn you.
I wonder what would happen if you actually had to return a gold bar at Costco
You're paying a premium with PAMP bars that you won't get back. A plain one-ounce bar from a reputable dealer is the best.
I don’t think you heard about the cash back part.. otherwise I think you’d change your thoughts
@@Spegtacular No I won't because I've had lots of PAMP bars so I'm experienced. Now I buy 1 oz bars.
Do you get how I paid about $80+ under spot for these? There’s no premium.
@@Spegtacular If you paid 80$ below spot then Costco must have purchased them some time back or they sell them at a loss. It's one or the other. I pay about 80$ above spot because the seller needs to make something. Anyway it doesn't matter what you paid on the day because it's the longer term that's important.
@@tonyp2865you don't flip gold like you do real estate. I buy it as a collectors piece. I'm in no hurry to sell my pound of gold.
where you going to sell it sometime ?
How do you sell your gold?
Wait a long time or take a loss. I sell mine at coin shows.
Those are nice 👍
Which is that card giving 3% cashback at Costco?
I rather put that money in stocks. It go up faster and you get dividends. Gold looks pretty but really does nothing. It does not produce.
Hello SpecTacular
The irony is Costco should offer block chain oz in gold and silver. This will be very convenient for all buyers. Specially, those 400 oz or 10 kg bars, no one likes to carry. That is why bitcoin leapfrogs gold, this feature is mandatory. Costco could be our real bullion bank. Currently all merchandises business will be insignificant as bullion sales will be 10X of its revenue IF block chain oz is available
I wouldn't touch bitcoin! That's just me.
5% back at walmart with their card
Wish Sam's would sell gold bars. Costco's just way out of the way for me where I live. :)
Nice.
You out in my neck of the woods…
Do you store them in a safe? Safety deposit box?
Bank deposit boxes can be robbed by thieves, g-men and bankruptcy courts.
Why did you return?
"I returned to Costco for Gold bars and this happened." - There I fixed your title.
It reads correctly as-is. I’m sorry if people aren’t quite getting it or are thinking it’s something else. That’s not my fault 🙈
The middle could be not gold?
Genuinely curious… how do you sell these?
Any gold bullion dealer.
No refund in Costco
Over price $100 dollars.
I have a gold sharpie. ?!
Money lost values-
Gold gain a lot $$$$$$$$$
At first I read, "I returned my gold bars at Costco ...". I was like, another hater complaining bout the no-return policy for gold bars? I am glad I was wrong...
No worries when you buy a 29.00 silver coin you definitely aren't getting more money back same with gold its the way these RICH companies RIP You off...
I spent $2,400.00 on a pair of Gucci sneakers. Don't worry about depreciation, man.
Waste of money.
The best gold ✨️ is in Iran UAE India Italy 18 and over 😀
where you going to sell it sometime ? give it to me and claim it on your insurance
I mean, I would buy it cause I think its cool to own, but I would never buy it as an investment. Selling them at market price is too damn hard, and its appreciation is much slower than the market, even if the market crashes.
Please don't take this the wrong way, as I totally respect your investment... That thing is definitely not a "gold bar", it's a "rectangular gold coin".
It's called a "gold bar" at all the online places that sell them.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
JM Bullion calls them gold bars also
Anything lighter than 1 ounce is a gold coin and weighing 1 ounce or heavier is a gold bar. It doesn’t relate to size or shape .
@@mukesharora2053 of course this is troy ounce.
I stick with gold coin bullion.
Let’s go Brandon!! 🇺🇸
A bracelet? 😵💫
Very very nice + like
Yep. a week later and gold drops $100 and silver crashes $2/oz.
I'm sitting out until Gold drops back to $1,800 and silver back to $21...which they 100% will at some point.
I just noticed the same…it dropped.
10,000 is coming
That's the gamble you make.
It's an investment just like playing the stock market. I have time on my side because I don't purchase gold or silver if I think I might need the money within 10 years.
give it to me and claim it on your insurance
