- Durkopp CL 14 Domestic Sewing Machine
- German Made Durkopp Treadle Sewing Machine
- Straight Stitch w/ Forward & Reverse
- Large Polished Spoked Hand Wheel
- Uses Class 15 Bobbins (Most Common Size - Widely Available)
- Uses 705H (Standard Domestic Size Needle)
- Treadle Table w/ 2 Drawers & Locking Top
- Mfged ~1920-30s
- Cast Iron Legs w/ "Durkopp" cast into sides
- Base is on Wheels
- Uses ~ 77" Leather Belt
Extremely smooth, extremely quiet. In my opinion it's nicer that the Singer Class 15 variants.
If you find one keep in mind that it uses a custom hinge and bed size, so it WILL NOT work with a vintage Singer/Pfaff/Necchi/Etc. treadle table.
Can be converted to a hand crank. - Věda a technologie
I have an 1874 Singer.. I just pulled out of 50 years of storage.. I love it.. As a Machinist, I'm impressed with the quality of the machining done on these old timers.. I didn't think they could do that back 20 years before cars were invented.
Post some pix pls.
Great machine and great table. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much, I looked for an introductory video for exactly this kind of sewing machine :) !
Great video!
Could you tell me if the bobbin thread feeds off clockwise please? I was hoping you would mention that in your video. I am restoring a Durkopp cylinder arm and trying to get it going. Thank you, Narelle in Australia.
Hi! interesting video, I also own one from my grand-grandfather. Any idea how rare is it and how much it's worth? Thanks
hi , how will I do to get it ? and how much please answer me 😢😢😢😢😢
There is a video on CZcams on, "Coil Spring Treadle Sewing Machine Belts", I think you will like.
Thanks so much! I was considering making a belt out of latex tubing but the coil spring looks like a great idea too! Thank you for sharing
How does one get in touch with you ?
You can send me a message through youtube. Go to my channel page, then click on "about" then "Send Message". Thanks!
Could you sew leather
It'll sew light weight (2-3oz) garment leather with a leather point needle. Anything heavier and you're better off with a walking foot or roller foot machine.
