Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite 80's TV shows. The love that Catherine and Vincent shared reminds me so much of the love I shared with my husband for 51 years. He recently passed away and I miss him so very much. I am thankful to God that we had the opportunity to love each other for a lifetime. I will love him forever.

That was TOTALLY heartbreaking when Vincent lost Catherine. I cried so much. My father asked "are you going to be ok?" Thank goodness it was just a TV show. 😁

Memorable song, I used to hear this when I was a kid. I'm watching the series though I don't really understand any of it since I was just 2-3 yrs old that time. When I hear this song I always picture the time when my mother is holding me in her arms and putting me to sleep I hear this song in the background, makes me cry I miss my childhood ❤
I have this very song and Ron Perlman reciting poetry on a cassette tape, along with other music themes and some reciting of poetry by Ron on it from the T.V. show, given to me many years ago by another 'B.A.T.B.' fan who also gave me a paperback novel, detailing the last three episodes of the second season of the show, all of which I still possess, and will 'NEVER' give up. LOL!😁

I just started binge-watching this series. I haven't seen it since the 80's. If you can remember it's from the 80's and ignore the weaknesses of that era (every era has its quirks), it's a really good show. George R. R. Martin was one of the head writers and one of the producers, as well. He says it's a smart show and I agree. I don't feel shame when I remember that poster of Vincent over my bed at college. :)
He and Catherine should have just kissed, already. I guess prime time wasn't ready for that in the 80's.

Great song and poem. Loved the show as well. Both actors were awesome in their roles. I learned about deeper love in watching this show at a young age and even now.

just finished watching the episode that featured this song. As scary as the world is now, remember the time before we had caller id and other conveniences that make our world somewhat easier to deal with now.
It was very sad to see Catherine die, I even cried at that point wish that there would have been some way to have kept her character alive.

It was beginning of season three if I remember correctly. Also, Catherine's character was killed off because Linda was pregnant in real life alongside the show. Sucks. But it happens.

I am TOTALLY with you!!! It wasn’t fair!!😞😞 I cried as well during Catherine’s funeral. Some people say this show has so many flaws and is outdated but WHO CARES?? I Don’t!! It was a beautiful love story and definitely one of my favourites!! The score written for it is just Breath taking!! I love Vincent dearly but I wonder if this song was also made without Vincent speaking?? Most definitely a top contender for a couple’s first dance at their wedding! Completely beautiful!!! Lastly, I liked the “later” Vincent but the “Smallville Lona Lang” just wasn’t suitable as Catherine. Have you seen how this actress kisses??? It’s just like a fish sucking in air. It grossed me out in “Smallville” and still does today. Nothing elegant or sexy about it!!! Completely disgusting 😱🤣🤪!!!

@@elainecox4863 yep. They are running it on the TV late-night now. Vincent had went wilding mad. He lost the psychic connection between them. The baddie kidnapped her knowing she was pregnant. He cut the baby 🐥 out of her. She died in Vincent arm on the roof. And the baddie helicopter. Away. Have to see how he dies. Then the series part in the new girl for Vincent. She was pretty and good too. Some discrepancy happened and they cancel the show.

Ron Perlman. He did a whole cassette of poetry. He is in the costume. He said he didn't sound the same out of it. This essentially is the Vincent character speaking.
