Survival is just the beginning.
Six years have passed since the biological disaster in Raccoon City.
Agent Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident, has been sent to rescue the president's kidnapped daughter.
He tracks her to a secluded European village, where there is something terribly wrong with the locals.
And the curtain rises on this story of daring rescue and grueling horror where life and death, terror and catharsis intersect.

This actually makes sense that Leon would have this load out in a rescue mission instead of having just mere handgun
It's not really a "rescue mission." Leon was supposed to investigate the village with the police officers since there was a lead on the village. This was supposed to go as "go to village, investigate, leave, come back for the rescue."
Leon had to go "survival mode" when the police officers died since he can't really go back after jumping out the cabin. He had to ditch the normal procedure and solo the entire operation. (investigate, rescue, exfiltrate)
In summary, nothing goes "normal" on Leon's life. In RE2 he just had to start his first day at work. Here, he just had to investigate the village.

You should use the third person aiming mod with this rifle. It's an option in the ultimate trainer and makes the aiming like the other guns

Why is it that when your using that rifle you can only do iron sight aiming, but when your using the mp5 you can aim from an over the shoulder perspective?
'it's how the game works I'm afraid. The CQBR is in the rifle category so when you aim without the scope, it'll use the iron sight like its sniper counterpart. the LE5 is a SMG, so it can use 3rd person aim
