  • Approach preparation with response in mind:
In part 4 of this series, Volunteer Emergency Prepare Specialist, Linda Milne walks viewers through the down and dirty truths surrounding home sheltering: sanitation, emergency bathrooms, and assuring adequate water and food essentials are accounted for.
Emergencies and disasters can strike at any time. Preparation, planning, and response know-how saves lives. Volunteer Emergency Prepare Specialist, Linda Milne, partnered with the
Bateman Horne Center to create six consecutive videos which build upon the knowledge, skills,
and resources discussed in the series.

The series was conceived for the benefit of patients and others who could be vulnerable in a local emergency or area-wide disaster, due to limitations imposed by health and aging.

By design, each video is kept short so the information presented is only basic and does not represent the full spectrum of essential topics that fit under the umbrella of emergency preparedness.

Government leaders and professional responders make it clear that emergency preparedness is a personal and family responsibility. We hope this series serves as a small road map in the development of your prepare plans.

agreed that a lot of this doesn't easily apply to apartment dwellers... ie, i have a fridge with freezer, and a small freezer, but don't have freezer room for 10/20 lb bag of ice!

Privileged, rich, home/land owning specific arrangements. Not good for apt dwellers. For people disabled by chronic illness, the physicality involved in these steps not really doable.
