Lore (WARNING! SPOILERS!):
The guardian is actually a father who would drink a lot and didn't care about his son. one day, he received the news that his son went missing and he wanted revenge. 39 saw the poster of the missing child, so the animatronic told him he killed his son. After five long nights, he couldn't kill him. On the 6th night, the guardian caught him doing +18, he tries his hard to kill him but couldn't. After the night, the nightguard posted the video about 39 doing +18 and the employees decide to make a new advanced 39. On the 7th night, 39 tried to oof himself, but he couldn't manage to do so as the gun was jammed. He revealed he didn't kill his son, and he did it just to have a friend. After the 7th night, the new 39 came and throught the nightguard was an intruder, so he broke his spine, leaving him to die. The old 39 came, and seeing his friend, he decide to kill him to end his suffering.
