PRP Seat Covers for the Jeep Wrangler! Torture Test and Install Tips

  • This time on the AutoEdits Jeep JKU Rubicon build up... we add a set of PRP custom seat covers for the front and rear. Spoiler alert... I love them!
    Since I've been running the Jeep with the windows off and open top way more... the cloth Rubicon seats were taking a beating and I just couldn't get them clean anymore. So I ordered up a set of the PRP seat covers with the Edge blue vinyl and Xcel black materials.
    Instead of doing a straight forward How To install... I'm going to recommend these two videos from their CZcams channel (it's what I watched to do my install and they are pretty good)
    • PRP Seat Covers for '1...
    • PRP Seat Covers for '1...
    I'm just going to run you through the two main things that might catch you off guard... otherwise this is a fairly easy install for just about anyone to do.
    Plus, the way I thought to put these things to the test was to install them... open up the Jeep and just leave it out in the summer heat for a month but that month turned into three because ... well... life.
    So I wiped them down and shot this overview video. They still look almost brand new.

    I was just searching for seat covers. For our "Dog Taxi", as well as for our customers. I really like these PRP. I'm not sure which will be the best material. As we removed our rear seat for the dogs, we only need the front. The hair of the dogs are sticking everywhere. they seem like a magnet 😂. Thanks for the video. Hope Pinto is well after the jump 🤪

    • @AutoEdits
      @AutoEdits  Před 3 lety +1

      They sell these separate front and rear and yeah Pinto is a heavy shedder as you probably noticed by the carpet shot... but so far her hair wipes right off the seats.
      And yeah the wipe out really got me ... she was laid out for a second and in dog time that's forever but all is good. thanks for watching and checking in on Pinto!

    On the pricey side but by far, the most premium seat cover option on the market. These aren't the typical off the shelf neoprene slip ons. The craftsmanship & quality control is top tier & customizable options gives you endless options.
    I personally went with their Enduro Elites which I love but a part of me wishes I had just went with the seat covers to save myself from all the codes the Jeep starts throwing & all the work-arounds needed to trick the Jeep into "thinking" you're still running factory seats. Regardless of what route you go, be it their seat covers or full on seat replacement, PRP is worth every nickel.
