Easy to Love: A Tribute to Jared Ricks and his Community

Stories of love connect different groups of people celebrating Fractured Anatomy singer and guitarist Jared Ricks, a young man who lived bravely and creatively for 23 years despite a diagnosis of drug-resistant epilepsy. Following his untimely death, Jared’s loved ones gather together to throw a tribute concert in his honour, raising awareness for epilepsy and funds toward more Seizure Investigation Unit beds at Vancouver General Hospital. Their interviews illuminate the challenges of living with epilepsy, both for the patient and their community members, and what can be done to better support them all.

I wish i would have gotten to know him better, he was clearly on an incredible path and would have done amazing things. It says a lot about him that even in death his positivity still radiates outward changing the world for the better.
I was honored to hear he was into my then band and that we were invited to play his tribute show. It was extremely emotional and felt like a very positive and powerful night.
