Worrying that 50% of people have no symptoms of a clot so a high dose dimer result shouldn’t then be ignored.

Oh, thank you so much for your detailed information drs. I feel much relieved after listening to your explanation. My D-Dimer has been high since August Sept and I have been sent for another D-Dimer test today and hope that the results will come out negative this time around. I have been diagnosed with asthma and sarcoidosis in the lungs.Thank you once again for the explanation.

Hi I have been sick since sept 2023 seen doctors everywhere went to ER several times including calling 995, all my tests came back normal or almost normal except some weird things.
Have swollen lymph nodes on my neck increasing in numbers.
I got reinfected with covid on Dec 10
Ordered myself a d-dimer on 29/30 dec and now it came back positive 0.7 ug/ml so im rather concerned. Dr suggested a ct pulmonary but with not mandatory and urgent.
Please help! I'm only 29 yo

Just take natural blood thinners such as garlic, ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper and stop drinking alcohol and stop consuming refined sugars then the blood clots will naturally dissolve.

@@lovenbball22 I just met with a hematologist yesterday to discuss my full body CT scan results from last week, which was normal. This doctor was filling in for the normal doctor I see. The doctor told me everything is fine and I need to start losing weight and exercising. I responded that I lost 30 lbs last year and incorporated a very strict lifestyle change with zero fried food or sugar. My weight at that time and was quite lean for my body habitus. I have put about 13 lbs back on since. I told him that my D-dimer continually worsened while I incorporated this lifestyle change despite all my other labs being very good. I also told him I was told by the other doctor not to exercise too much because of my heightened clotting risk. He responded that my issue is I'm too sedentary with a desk job.
I'm sure a sedentary lifestyle doesn't help my health, but I don't trust his opinion to be honest. Of course exercising always helps some things, but a D-dimer that's 2000% too high for a reasonably fit person would seem to have a different cause than not exercising enough. It just seems incorrect.
Whatever the case, I'm going to start running and working out again. They are drawing my labs in 6 months again. It'll be interesting to see what happens. I'm not confident to be honest. It's disheartening.

@@VADisabilityGroup my same situation! I got covid in 2021 and my d-dimer has been elevated since. no clots all other test are normal I am starting a supplement to treat possible micro clots called nattokinase serrapeptase along with starting an anti-inflammatory life-style change.

@@tybless3758 If you don't mind me asking, what are your D-dimer labs? Not to discourage you, but I have been taking the nattokinase serrapeptase for about 1.5 years along with the anti-inflammatory life-style change. These proactive measures have had zero impact on my D-dimer labs. It's discouraging. I am going to start exercising to see if that changes my labs, but I'm not hopeful.

My D-DIMER is 3475, normally it should be < 500. My doctor gave a blood thinner injection and also pills. I used 2 injections every day for 1 week and continued on the pills for two weeks. All my other blood values are normal, but I have been suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for 2 years, is the condition of my lungs increasing this value? Thanks
