Its nothing special. They just do it in the hall ways at lan Amma a couple players/ coaches will go tell the other team their veto and choices. Not that exciting

Remember when games like IW had a setting called CWL tuning (or something along those lines) where certain things that were not allowed were automatically disabled when that option was turned on... it's really not hard, it legit takes fuck all time to code a setting that will disable everything that is considered too OP for competitive integrity.
For uplink interceptions, maybe the devs could make the ball react to being shot, so it turns into a test of who has the most cracked aim

Theyâve added Havoc mode in past game where people have the same style of Jet packs with Jumping. Why couldnât we have a game mode where we have it on all game. Uplink was a favorite playing with friends in college and we have talked about wanting it back so much.

To make uplink work. They could also play around with giving the player a double jump if they close enough to the uplink. That way you still have interceptions. Players could still make long 1 pointers. And dunking is still available. Would just have to make sure the movement canât be broken and interfere with the gameplay

For uplink on a boots on the ground game. Have a grapple of sorts that everyone has access to, to be able to intercept the ball. Keep the portal in the air. Have a jump pad right below where it bounces you to the portal. Could have it like blitz where you teleport to your portal after scoring or keep it the same. For the grapple, maybe make it a toggle between your tacticle? Imagine being able to grab guns off the floor with the grapple too? I am genuinely interested in reading people's thoughts

Hear me out, the 3rd mode is Uplink WITH jetpacks. Switches back to boots on the ground for HP and SnD. This would be such a fun twist that adds variety

Why doesnât the portal have a trampoline. Right below it. Pushes you up. Simple stuff. Get rid of head glitch spots in back of the map. Thatâs all thatâs needed
iâm pretty sure that stair glitch isnât a big deal because itâs right next to a hop up. so when u jump up ur looking down at the player it looks pretty similar to just a normal prone
For the third game mode uplink would be great if they added a sort of jetpack perk same as DS or Trophy with a quicker recharge time and either 1 or 2 players are allowed to use it in uplink only.
Rab if CDL was to support the random checks for tac sprint, would they not just ban it in the game settings lmao??? You can turn tac sprint off in lobby settings
Uplink is in my opinion the best third mode. All the developers need to do is just have the game load a EXO suit when that mode loads

Tbh with the new movement system and great devs they could create parkour spots in maps for clever uplink throws and have ramps spaced so that if you wanted to dunk you have to dive for it. It could definitely be done especially with the fast paced gameplay nowadays Iâd really enjoy this
The problem with a ramp is there is one way to get to it. With jet packs you can come at it in the air from any angle
I could potentially see some interesting plays depending on the map that would be based off positioning and passing. Think sub base ball drops mid and you pass it to top ac who then takes the shot or something similar.

what if uplink had certain ranges that you could throw from to make it similar to the basketball 3 point shot. Like from a close range is 1 point, and long range is 3 points.
faded c6 ran single tap for a few months in mw19 just to see if any would notice but it took him coming out publicly for before to realise and uproar

Itâd be pretty sweet if they configured Uplink in a way that Jetpacks were enabled only for that gamemode. That would give everyone what they want. Jetpacks in the game and boots on the ground.
Just have the Uplink goal near and upper level part of the map so that jumping off and dunking is worth two shooting from down low is 1. But it rewards teams for risking the run up two a known dunking position that the other team would need to defend harder.
One pointers too easy. Never would work without being able to intercept. It was a key back in the day to being good at uplink.

Put a perimeter around the uplink goal, that will allow a "super jump." Only to take affect on anyone in the immediate zone. Maybe.
Admittedly, it would probably look goofy as all fuck, but I would love to see if you could make uplink work by placing some sort of jump pad near the goals that could be used by defenders to block one pointers and by attackers to dunk it.

Uplink was the best game mode hands down. So entertaining to watch.... but of course we need advanced movement back for that.
Wait uplink on the ground would be a single flag CTF mode but you could throw the "flag"
What about a similar mode like payload from overwatch or safeguard from bo4. I think it can work in a sense kinda like the war mode in mw3 where u gotta escort the tank.

Maybe Uplink but with a Blitz portal and if you run the ball through the portal you get 2/3 and throwing it through gets you 1
The solution is bringing grapples back. That way itâs boots on the ground, but there are still crazy plays.

For Uplink or Gridiron what if you could shoot the ball to knock it away? Too strong for defense? Could make for some good trick shots of throwing the ball against a car, wall, stairs, etc then shooting the ball forward. Assuming the ball moves quickly it would take decent skill to shoot the ball for defense. Or if explosions could propel the ball too. Being able to knock away the ball pseudo solves the inability to intercept the ball if the goal is in the air. OR just keep the goal on the ground so you can intercept still or shoot the ball away. What do you all think?
Not saying that the League canât properly handle this, but what happens if a player gets caught using one of those âGAâdâ settings? The teams cannot decide that a team has to forfeit a map, only the team using the setting or the league can, and if itâs not against âthe league rulesâ you canât technically forfeit them, right?

The Pred stair glitch is hardly even that. Where hes laying barely hides any of his body when they hop up, can tell hes not deep into it

Do gridiron but make it where there is a portal for you to throw the ball in for the 1 point and have a flag type of area on the ground that you run to for 2 points, no ramp needed at all

Getting sick of control. Its like playing single flag cap wins on CTF. Getting a lucky 4 dead can win or lose the game.
I hate control but unfortunately itâs the best of what we got. Uplink just wonât work on any boots game. A key component was being able to play defense which is nearly impossible without jet packs. Iâve wondered if a game mode like oddball would work in cod. You definitely would have to disable trophyâs because nading people out of areas would be necessary. Iâd love to see what it would look like.

I really enjoyed playing it. Wasnât the best competitive mode to watch because it could easily get out of hand but there was also lots of good games as well when both teams were good at it.
