LaFontaine Deep Pupa
Hook: 2X-long nymph hook, sizes 12-16.
Weight: Nontoxic wire, .015 or .020.
Thread: Brown or tan, 6/0 or 8/0.
Shuck: Tan or brown Antron yarn.
Body: Tan, brown, or green dubbing.
Legs: Mallard, wood duck, partridge, or other speckled feather.
Head: Brown fur or ostrich herl.

I thought Gary died from cancer😔. Anyway, its bad whatever disease it was.
He was one of a few I had on Video cassette tapes, who taught me about flyfishing and tying. Then came Utube.

Sorry Tom but Gary was particualr about the underbody. It has to be sparse, with the dubbing (mixture of antron and rabbit0 touched dubbed to the thread.
