- From Chicago to Sacramento, I headed out west via train #5. This is my adventure. You will always meet new friends and enjoy wonderful company when you ride the rails with Amtrak. The scenery is amazing, and you cannot see some of it with an automobile nor an airplane. This is why we train. My adventure took place from June 26th through June 28th. I hope you like it as much as I did. If you have the time and patience, try Amtrak.

I took the trip going east this week. I loved the iron steak, ordered both nights. I'll probably do it again next summer.

Nicely done! I love how you intermix such stunning still photos with your video. I'll be taking the California Zephyr in early Sept 2023 from terminus to terminus, but in the opposite direction. I am so looking forward to watching America roll by outside my roomette's private picture window. I can hardly wait!
It is so nice, sitting back and relaxing, especially in a roomette. The quiet and privacy is huge. Plus, all the meals are included (minus the tip). Enjoy! Feel free to share your travels too. Thanks.
@@MajorAir Check this out...today, I went on Amtrak's website to see how full my train is getting. I just happened to notice that the current roomette fare was about $100 less than what I paid back in March. I called Amtrak and now I'm getting a $208 credit! How cool is that?!
