Hey chupuko! I just started rigging my first Vtuber model and your tutorials have been the BEST by far I have seen! I am so grateful you put in the hard work of uploading them. What separates your tutorials from the rest is that you explain and give tips for using the software as you go along. Many tutorials assume that I have an intermediate understanding of the software, while you take the time to help me get there. Stay awesome :D
I made my first model following your beginner tutorials, and now you're inspiring me to make another... your tutorials are so great, they work super well for my lil ADHD brain !!
i've been working on my model on and off for so long, and i keep getting frustrated because it's the first time doing this. this video is gonna help out SO much, thank you!
I found a way I like doing it and that is, doing it over the sketch as I go but instead of doing all lines first then color. I do it by piece. Like for hair I draw one hair piece, then color the base color in right after and go to the next piece. For symmetrical things like eyes, I do them together then cut and paste to make the other one separate. It's easier for me to understand this way. "Piece by piece as I go"
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Because i have been struggling with separation so so soo much and Your tutorials have always been helping me 😭 Thanks to you now i know how to ACTUALLY separate a vtuber model 😭♥
I’ve been following your channel for a long time, and only half a year ago I started creating models in Live2D using your guides. I would like to thank you for the guides, I’m now enjoying this activity more!❤
Just wanted to say your tutorials are the best. Even though I'm not a native English speaker, yours are the ones I understand completely! I now have like 2 days of l2d trial left and wanna rig an alt outfit.... So my debut is coming soon!!! I guess Thank you l2d goddess 🙏🙏🙏
This is great! Actually, this is what I needed a couple weeks ago, haha. But it's still great to get some tips now to make improvements for next time. Thanks so much. :D
i make all my models on procreate (i’m too broke for clip studio but not broke enough for procreate lmao) and this tutorial even helped me out a lot! i’m a beginner, and i usually make chibi-style models, but your directions were simple to follow and i’m quite happy with how my model is turning out! :D
So Excited for this series! Your videos are what I used to make my current model (mostly, i had a few things i had to outsource since i'm a furry-ish kinda vtuber). I'm really excited to see a more advanced tutorial on this stuff, especially separation. If, in the furture, you could do a sort of dive into draw order stuff and let me know if you have any short cuts for that? with the way my face was built I had to use it a LOT and it was kind of a mess.
as an artist who dreams of making a 2d vtuber (one day..) this is so damn helpful. Especially when later in the video with all the examples of your seperated layers. Cause omg-so much info
hi chupuko sweetie!! thank you so much for your videos!!! i study design and always loved vtuber models and wanted to make one for my undergraduate thesis.. final paper thingy? anyways!! your videos are a huge help and i really appreciate them! kisses from brazil
i'm still in the procress of drawing my model, but i'm wondering if anyone has tips on lighting for a model? i don't know where i should draw the lighting from. above? can i make the atmosphere very warm and orangey, or should it be more neutral?
I'm not sure if you answer comments or not but I'll ask anyways. Should I put right and left bangs on seperate layers even if theyre identical? Or can I just mash them in one layer?
i still dont know if ima try this with my oc- Im not done redesinger her yet, but i always make my characters overly complicated (its my style) and i dont even wanna know how hard thats gonna be to rig 😅
Your video holds a lot more information and examples than any other videos I’ve seen, thank you for taking the time to create these for everybody trying to learn :) 🩷
