If you go over the sticky hearts with your cornstarch pillow, it de-sticks them. Love this, tfs❤
I wanted to say that too😊
Thank you!
Looking forward t9 part 2
Thanks for the tip! I'll give it a go - although I'm wondering if the corn starch will dull the shine a little. There's only one way to find out ... :)
Thanks, Angela! x

Thank you for this brilliant tutorial
You're very welcome!
Great video Natalie.
Love the card!
Thanks so much!
FABULOUS start to the new series!!! I have lots of Pearl Ex powders from years ago. Thank you for reminding us that other types of pigment powders can be used by just adding a binder. I really appreciate that your videos offer us alternatives so we can use what we have. And I love the look of your gilding flakes mixed with the pigment powders! Looking forward to new ideas and techniques. Thank you! 🩷 (and your card is beautiful!)
I have those too! I seal them with hair spray!
@@nancyglaspie6735 Me too! I've had great success with lots of different binders on different projects - gum arabic, gel medium, Triple Thick, clear gesso, clear glue - can't wait to see this series!
Thanks, JH! Glad you found it helpful. xxx
@@nbcascards thank YOU! 🩷

Aww. Thanks, Lindsay! x
Very pretty card tfs
Thanks so much!
Thank you for sharing this video. I have the Perfect Pearls but didn't know how to use them 😮😊
Glad it was helpful!
You can stamp with the stamp pad that comes with the perfect pearls. Or try the versamark. Stamp the clear ink and swipe the perfect pearls on top. Let dry and wipe of with a soft clean cloth.
Another fab tutorial. Loved how you demonstrated different ways. Inspirational card too. Looking forward to the next one. Take care xx
Thanks, Sandra! x
Add velum over the sticky hearts
Nice idea, although that would mute the metallic sparkle. x
Really looking forward to the next instalment in this series x
Thanks, Linda! x
OMG!! I love this with the gilding flakes! So glad I found your channel!

Well it’s pouring with rain here in West Yorkshire so I know what I’m going to do today. 😜😜. Thank you Natalie. X
You're welcome! I hope you had fun - and I'm hoping the weather cheers up soon. :)
Thank you for all the great info!
My pleasure! x
Great vid
Thanks so much! x
🙋🏻♀️ I scrolled through a lot of the comments and didn’t see my question, so hopefully I’m not making you answer it again.
On the glue tests, with the double sided tape, couldn’t you just add some more pigment powder to take away the residual stick?
This video has been extremely informative and helpful, thanks 🙏
I'm intreeged. Thanks
You're welcome! x
Ive recently invested in some Brushos, I love using them but didnt understand I can use them dry! Thank you for your super informative video. X.
You are so welcome!
That colour combo!! love :) looking forward to this series!
Thanks! x
I love this technique and will be purchasing some powders! Your videos are so informative, love watching them ❤
Thanks, Lyn! x
I bought a Ken Oliver colour burst set years go and have only used them a couple of times. This series is going to be great in helping me try out new techniques with them. Thanks in advance!
Thanks, Jo! I hope you enjoy playing with your powders. x
They dry application is so subtle and beautiful! Love the addition of the guilding flakes 😮
Thanks, Janet! x
Thanks Natalie, I found this really helpful
I'm so glad!
Fab card, I love the addition of the gilding flake, tfs
Thanks so much!
Excellent information! That was truly helpful, especially concerning glues! Thank you.❤
Thanks, Robin! x
Great information and card, thanks!
Thanks, Debbie! x
Brilliant thank you for the education xxxx really helpful xxxx
You are so welcome!
More to play with…thanks
Great! Have fun. x
Very pretty.
Thank you! 😊
Love your card. Watching from South Africa ❤
Thanks so much! x
Super pretty! I appreciate the inclusion of the flakes. I seem to always think there’s A WAY everything is supposed to be done (silly, I know), and I would have thought I should break down the flakes to be more background-ish. Yours are so much prettier! Thank you, Natalie! 😊
Thanks, Marguerite! You know what they say ... rules are made to be broken! :)
Beautiful card Natalie I am definitely going to get out my perfect pearls and have a play now. I'm thinking of using glue I purchased to adhere gilding flakes fingers crossed it works x
Fab! Let me know how it went. x
@@nbcascards very messy lol I used a spoon instead of tip of a brush lol. Oh well you learn by your mistakes and I got there in the end phew x
That's great! And you never know what new techniques you'll discover just by playing and trying something different. :)
This is fabulous. Actually, I'm embarrassed to say that I've never used them dry. I've always wet them or put them in sprayers. This turned out beautiful!
Glad it was helpful!
Lovebit
Thanks! x
How do perfect pearls fit into these powders? Love your videos
Perfect Pearls contain pigment, mica and a built in resin that makes them easy to use wet and dry. Check out the Ranger website for more info. I don't have any, but it sounds like they will work the same as the powders I've shown in this video. x
Beautiful card and great idea. I have the Pixie Shimmer Powders and find that they “shed” (release the sparkle). Even spraying with hairspray didn’t help. Is it just me or does anyone else have the same problem with the Pixie Shimmer Powders?
Thanks! Maybe add some gun arabic, or gel hairspray into your spray bottle. :)
Thank you for all your very informative videos. What texture paste did you use in this video when mixing it with pigment powders?
I have Liquitex Light Modelling Paste which is pretty quick drying and translucent. Any white texture paste would work though. Thanks for watching! x
@@nbcascards many thanks for the reply so much to learn but great fun.
How do mica powders fit in? Do they not have pigments or binder in them?
Mica powders may just contain mica - I think they're meant to be mixed with other things like resin. If you have mica powders, check out the manufacturer's website to see what's in them and how to best use them. :)
Are the pigment powders the same as mica powder ?
It depends on the brand and what they put in their powders? Some mica powders only contain mica (the shiny stuff) but some will contain pigment as well. Check out the manufacturer's website to see what yours contain. x
Can you use any sort of glue for this technique?
It needs to be a glue that’s tacky when dry, like the ones I showed in the video.
@@nbcascards I see many thanks I’m still learning.
Very interesting and informative Natalie. I love the end result. Thank you
Thank you so much!
