    Great video. Only thing missing is a healthy application of BLUE Loctite to all the bolts and screws. If you ride off road stuff will shake loose and fall off, usually at the worst possible time, at night, during a hurricane or massive snowstorm, while your running late to be somewhere, and you’re on top of a 14,000 foot tall mountain in the middle of B.F.E. Yes, I have that t-shirt.

      Yes indeed. For additions like this, I typically get everything set the way I want, ride it a little bit to make sure, then go back and add loctite one bolt at a time to keep from anything moving on me.

    Great !! Exactly what I was looking for !! Took my laptop out to the garage just now and followed along with my brand new Tiger 900 Rally Pro (2024). Everything went exactly how you showed it , heaps better than trying to get by with just the piece of paper/instruction that came with it. Thank you very much. First video I have watched on your channel , subscribed now !!

    Thank you so much for doing this video, I did follow another person on CZcams doing it however he got it wrong at the start & never pointed out his mistake, that caused me a lot of bother trying to remedy it, following yours was so simple & easy, thanks again 👌👍

    I wanted to thank you for doing this video. I just bought a tiger 1200 rally Pro and I ordered the bark busters. Your video was very hopeful with installation . I appreciate you.

    Thank you, great video and explanation...worth mentioning, regarding hand / finger protection as well. I had a guy clip me on my throttle side going the wrong way pit riding years ago. I came very close to losing my right ring finger. It was torn badly and required surgery and a long recovery. I wish I had Bark Busters back then lol
    Adding these is a huge protection to your hands... Safe riding a keep the sunny side up. Looking forward to installing my new Busters on my new 900.
    Thanks again, great video

    Thanks mate. I'm just waiting for Barkbusters for my Rally Explorer. Sounds like they will be available soon

      For the record, the kit for the Tiger 900 series will work on the new 1200 series as well, with a tiny bit of adjustment (to avoid hitting the faring at full lock, I flipped one of the bolts upside down).

    Just installed a set on my 900 this evening. Pretty easy. Right side wire bundle is close to the swivel bolt on the bracket. But I ran the cables over the bracket. The lever adjuster for the brake just barely touches the rib as well. Nothing bad enough to impede function.

    Dude, the reason the bracket that attaches to the bar is u shaped is that it goes UNDER the cables so it is a clean run for them. If you notice the way you did it on the brake side, there is interference with the cables and it pushes the bar and lever to not be aligned. Whats weird is that you did it wrong on the brake side but correctly on the clutch side. Just sayin…😮

    • @RidgeRoamer
      @RidgeRoamer  Před rokem +1

      I have handlebar risers that have stretched a couple of the cables to their max. I tried. Without risers, easily goes above the bar. With risers it wouldn't stretch that little bit further. I may make something custom to deal with it, but for now it works.

    Found your channel with the monkey content and my want of a trailer for mine. Great stuff! My downside in Illinois is it has to be titled and plated therefore a diy for me is probably out of the question. Putting knockoff ish barkbusters on my monkey when they come in the mail. I should look into a speaker like you got!!

    For me it looks like the cables is bent down and vil be a issue later on with a degradation on them from vibrations and so on.

    Would the right bracket piece not turn around 180so the bend is at the top due to cable tension? I am thinking about these but also have risers.

    • @RidgeRoamer
      @RidgeRoamer  Před rokem +1

      No, because the angle would be wrong then. I need to play with it a bit more and find a better solution.

    First off THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE... Thanks for your insite on the Bark Busters... I had them on my 2012 KLR 650 with the STORM Wind Guards and loved them.... I'm again bike shopping and went to look at a Tiger 900 Rally last weekend... Planning to rent one next spring to make a final decision...No riding in BOSTON over the Winter hahahaha......... So what Crash bars and Bash Plate did you go with??? (Just watched some IBEX videos ) but had Tourtech on the KLR ...

      Thanks for watching, and thanks for your comment. I went with Hepco & Becker for my skid plate, engine guards, and tank guards. I have videos of each on my channel if you want to see details on those. I am very happy with them, though fortunately I haven't put them to the test yet... Have on previous bikes though, and they were great.

    The clamps on your handlebars are upside down. They should be mounted over the top of the handlebars, so the cables are nowhere close to the new barkbusters.

    • @RidgeRoamer

      It's odd then that the instructions and every picture the manufacturer shows contradict your statement.

    2 questions for you…any issues with barkbusters hitting the TFT Screen or wind protection? I’ve seen comments about that. Also, handlebar vibrations at highway speeds and hand numbness?…is it bad?

    • @RidgeRoamer
      @RidgeRoamer  Před rokem +3

      The barkbusters are nowhere close to hitting. At full lock, an inch or two clearance. I noticed no changes to vibration. In theory it should vibrate less with more weight and more rigidity.
