Chisa singing Rock With You made me levitate. And all three of them singing No Scrubs had me kicking and screaming😂 I love how these girls always pay respects to Black rappers and R&B artists. Which is exactly why I don’t get this cultural appropriation narrative people are trying to paint the girls as. They appreciate the culture and always gives respects where respects are do.
Yeah because the XG members really like the genres of hip hop and R&B songs, those two genres are their core identity, they really adore and respect them.

@@MarkCalica It's not a matter of respect or not, because music is universal, it doesn't matter where you come from or what race you are, there's no racism or anything, there's nothing wrong if someone admires a song and covers it. I still get confused and don't understand people who hate a certain group for no apparent reason.

As a black person, I understand the CA for the braids that they often put on Cocona and Jurin. The braids is the only issue for me. The fashion has black influence but no race owns clothing. Only traditional clothing should not be used. I love fashion being universal. That is my opinion on it. I understand that many cultures take from others but at this point in time, as long as you pay respect to a culture and not use it disrespectfully then it’s fine. The hair is my only issue.

If you interested in more japanese groups, I recommend Little Glee Monster, BananaLemon and Faky. Little glee monster is a pure vocal group, they just rebranded themselves with a more mature concept. BananaLemon is currently going indie but their stuff is still really good, especially if you love rnb. And Faky is basically XG's senior in Avex, their discography is amazing, please check them out
