Hiya did a really good job with the sculpt and paint and the articulation is good and is an improvement from the sh monster arts and neca but the bend wire could have been given a little more time to get right, but the stand is unfortunately an after thought and to give neca big credit I love they made a custom stand based on his containment outpost. Overall a very solid figure with its flaws
I hardly call that the bendy wire poking out you bent it pretty far at the end of the wire it was bound to break but its only on the spot where its venting where theres less plastic and sorta disappears when you unbend it
Yea it looked like he was intentionally trying to break it honestly. And even then it barely poked through. Yea, if you aggressively manhandle it, things break. Go figure.
I recently got the Mothra and thankfully it’s less frustrating to get her in the stand and it holds her better due to her being lighter than Rodan
Had some suspicions over Hiya after a couple of reviews that seemed off from people. Thank you for addressing this.

@Stop motion animations They asked him not to talk shit about their product. It's pretty much what you would expect from almost all sponsorships, but a reviewer needs to be honest.
I just got the hiya rodan and i think im pretty lucky because many people have complained about those red dots on the beak and the pink hands and my copy doesn’t have the dots, and the pink is very well done and blends in nicely

Yeah, I’m not a fan of the stand either. And pretty sure almost every figure came with paint blotches on their beaks. Still it’s a cool figure. I just got my Mothra today but I haven’t opened her up yet. Also who was that user you mentioned that fixed the beak paint issue?
I honestly thought this Friday was gonna be the SH Monsterarts shin night combat review, but oh well this figure review was great too, keep the good reviews up, your great at them.

Reviews were great back then and sure as hell good now. So imma say this, keep up the good work Steven.
I love my hiya Rodan and I was so happy when I got it delivered. I won't mess with the wings too much because I fear popping a wire. The stand kind of sucks so I'll just get a better one in the future.
Does the translucent thing apply to for example, shin Godzilla?

When I got Rodan yep, I got the same nitpicks as well...the stand (not the greatest) and the three random reddish pink dots on his serrated beak (easy fix).
As someone who own Hiya Rodan and see's others reviews that's... off, I can confirm that I had my suspicions that something's off with the Brand.
I'm glad I have Rodan, but I will be honest when I review as well

The wings were a deal breaker for me from the get go. This may look better than the S.H. Monsterarts, but I feel the later one's only fault, besides being based on concept art is the plain colors.
Is that a Bandai biogoji in the size comparisons?
No wonder the bendy wire popped out live, just looking at how much you bend the wings makes me cringe with anxiety damn. Dont be forceful with that kind if material come on

This figure isn't perfect or a magnus opus or anything, sure. But it does beating the competitors (except the stupid floppy yet overly tight useless stand), so I don't really see why "the said company which will not be named" needed to "ask" reviewers to said a certain things. Since it is the best we currently got, despite some issues it may have. Not to mention "the said company which will not be named" got a full on support from their customers, if you look at comment section on their socials or announcement videos made by youtubers. Doing that sorta thing felt more damaging to their rep than helping once it's out
Not as encouraging as the previous review I saw, but this figure is still better than the Monsterarts one so I'll take it.
I hope later versions will joint the wings properly.

Shame about the wire on yours. I’ve been messing with mine for a bit and haven’t had anything happen yet. But it’s always a shame when a wire does end up breaking through a figure. I’ve been having alot of fun with mine, beak is such an easy fix, and I’m really happy with it over all, solid release in my eyes.

This figure is the definition of undefined the eyes are unnoticable and look the same as the skin color. The wings also are messy and don't have lava coursing through them. Why can't they just do rodan right

Of course the wing broke when you're bending it in unnatural and extreme positions. Your integrity regarding that possible partnership was commendable, but come on. That break in the wing was all you.
Not at all. If you actually even watched the section - I literally just rewatched it - the break is below a section I was even bending.
@@StevensToyReviewsnot trying to be combative, but what are you talking about exactly? I just rewatched it too and all I saw was the tiniest glimpse of wire at the 9:30 mark after you bent it fairly aggressivley at the end of the left wing at the last ventilation hole. What am I missing here?
They need to get with the program, where’s the magnetic feet to hold a jet fighter like in the Film 🎥 these companies don’t even compare to the innovation Todd McFarlane brought to the industry in the mid 90’s and forced other companies namely Hasbro to up their game. It’s too bad he had to spend Millions on baseballs 😂 let alone other things and not his IP SPAWN which is an afterthought now😢
