Blondie doesn't say "pain in the ass" in this. Maybe in a different uncensored version yeah, but I think Miley decided to change that line? I just know that Blondie doesn't say that line in this song.
Yeah, Blondie, so suave and just so cool. Luckily got to see her in 79 and 81, Blondie was great then, as she is great now, still has the energy to kick it out.
She was way ahead of her time. This music video sounds and looks current. Forever trendy These are the times I wish Abba and Blondie were young again...
Me too! I still listen to her, Abba and Roxette to this day. Their music is just timeless. I also love SOS by Abba and I still love a lot of Roxette's songs.
It does NOT look ANYTHING like today's music videos. Todays music videos have ghetto people who are addicted to plastic surgery. Are you on crack, dude? How could you compare this beauty to now? wtf
the band was basically a punk rockband, with a lead singer that looked like a super model and they decided to do a dance song, never imagining it would be played in every disco and radio station around the world.
@@katemoon7476 I think what they’re trying to say is that disco (being soccer, or football outside of America, in their analogy) was more widespread and mainstream than punk (being baseball) at that time, meaning that a disco song was more likely to end up being more commercially successful than a punk song. I don’t know I may be completely off but that was the only explanation I could get from their comment.
That is a fair assessment of what the band originally was and what they became. What they never counted on was just how good Debra Harry was at her job. She was and is truly amazing.

Yeah, riding high on love's true bluish light
Ooh, oh, ooh, oh
Ooh, oh, ooh, oh
Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out to be a pain in the ass
Seemed like the real thing only to find
Mucho mistrust, love's gone behind
Ooh, oh, ooh, oh

Blondie doesn't say "pain in the ass" in this. Maybe in a different uncensored version yeah, but I think Miley decided to change that line? I just know that Blondie doesn't say that line in this song.
Thanks!
The director of this video had an easy job. No fancy effects needed when you can just show Debbie Harry's face.
Which is gorgeous btw
So hot!!!

I love her hair, eyes and smile, she's so uniquely beautiful. And that voice is timeless.
I just realised she looks like taylor swift lol
es bellisima
@@hunterprice3320 Strongly disagree.
At this time of her life she was beyond hot! What a beauty!
she is grandma now
Yeah, Blondie, so suave and just so cool. Luckily got to see her in 79 and 81, Blondie was great then, as she is great now, still has the energy to kick it out.
14 years today mother, this was one of your favourites..

She was way ahead of her time. This music video sounds and looks current. Forever trendy
These are the times I wish Abba and Blondie were young again...
It sounds nothing like today's shitty music.
Lol no it doesn't
lol what current you mean people copying everything more like
How could you compare this beauty to now? wtf
Me from Glasgow, I was 10 years old when this came out.
all the cool kids! 😁 54 y.o still a kid at heart ❤️
I've been trying to find this song for 10 fucking years and tonight I just randomly clicked on this song I thought I never heard before and here it is

The way she sings this song, her looks etc wtf beautiful
She’s perfection. OG
She was and still is a good looking broad
You people have no sense of decency.
Right? One talented beautiful woman! 🙌💚
Wasn't she always high ? Or drunk ? according to reports ?
could be irrelevant, but looking at her makeup it's timeless I would think it's made yesterday

Lol. Blame it on poor parenting :) I enjoy Miley's cover, but this here original is a masterpiece.
Please, tell me they don't.
the band was basically a punk rockband, with a lead singer that looked like a super model and they decided to do a dance song, never imagining it would be played in every disco and radio station around the world.
@MUFC8, been there tried that it didn't work. Besides, what has that to do with Blondie?
True. Disco sold, punk didn't.
@MUFC8 Relevancy to the music?
Tell me you are Gen X without telling me you are Gen X.
GEN X IN THE HOUSE.
I was a freshman in H.S when it came out
I'm a Millenial and love this music. Blonde one of my favourite bands from the 70s although this song was popular in the early 80s as it was released in 1979 😊 I was born 1982

A perfect pop song. And Debbie Harry combining 'cool' and 'beautiful', which is a pretty rare combo.

1999.
My friends and i were in a pizza hut in our town.
They had a juke box and this song was on it.
We put 5 bucks in and played this song on repeat.
Eventually (about 4 plays in) an employee went straight to the box and unplugged it.
Boycotted that Hut for 20 years.
Worth it.
