As a die-hard Trio fan of almost 20 years, this has to be one of the best set lists.

@@metalmike6668he said that it’s getting harder for him to tour with his bipolar disorder and he feels like he’s not as excited about it as he used to be due to that. Like others have said I hope that his time away sparks something in him to want to come back. Atom is killing it holding things down in the meantime though.

I am amazed on how the crowd is not going cray for the set list, show some good times peeps, this is one of the few bands that plays a wide variety of songs from their albums.

I was going crazy the whole time! The last time they played at this HoB the crowd seemed more energetic for sure. I was further back singing my head off!

I've seen Alkaline Trio a few times. Their crowds are always sleepy
I wonder why the crowd is not going crazy for them. Could it be age? Since it looks like a older crowd. Idk, this is interesting.
I think it was a mixture of age, first night of tour, lot of new stuff and people not familiar with it. Seemed a lot more people into the pre-Crimson stuff (which there wasn’t a lot of).

I was at the show on 3/29 in Los Angeles and they were just as rad. I've been seeing them live since 2003, they just keep getting better-and let's give a shout out to the opening bands they put on, Drug Church and The Worriers were so good! This album is quickly becoming one of my favorites-it's amazing. My life just wouldn't be the same without these guys.

Favorite band since i was 15 in 2000.. saw them more times than i can count but it hurts to realize they were literally just in detroit last week and i missed it. Im 38 and was moving to our new house, so there was no choice in the matter but damn. Makes me so happy theyre still making new music and seeing it still get millions (collectively) of views. "I called you from a driveby, told you its a bad time but i can talk" 🖤❤️🖤
My best friend/brother in law built me trio themed cornhole boards.... im a rambling child listening right now. Much love to all the other alkaline trio fans, the new ones and the ones that have been listening their whole lives!

Yeah I was there live and bro... This guy ain't shit compared to him. It's gotta be addressed. Big gaping hole in their sound now. Most people don't know that Derek played on the latest album. That's why it still sounds so good.

I will say it's not every part of every song. He's a solid drummer, for sure. It's just very very different.
Maybe that will be for the better in subsequent records, but especially with older tracks I can feel exactly what you stated: a hole in their sound.
I thought he was doing a great job until the All on Black outro. It sounded kinda empty without the little fills.

Matt sounds great these days. They also seem to be having a lot of fun! which is something you didn't often see from the trio. I mean their shows were like very serious, no? Now they are joking around, it's very weird to see lol

No Private Eye, no This Could be Love, no Sadie, Clavicle, Cringe (not my favourites but set list norms) - basically ignored four albums and included a whole load of new songs and throwing in a b-side for the first time..... and this is still the best Trio setlist I have ever seen. Do these guys even have any bad songs. Got tickets for the summer in the UK, absolutely stoked!

Slightly disagree that a set list which doesn’t include those songs could be their best ever BUT more to the point it’s kinda insane how they could do an entire set of songs they’ve left off this set and it would also be amazing. All the ones you mentioned… even latter day ones like She Lied to the FBI, Is This Thing Cursed or I Wanna be a Warhol would be worthy of an alternate setlist. Hell Yes and Standard Break From Life are b-sides and yet would be worthy… they really just have SUCH a deep catalogue to pull from.
In Austin they played Armageddon and Private Eye instead of Goodbye Forever and Bloodied Up
