- You can turn the humble, inexpensive plantain banana into a delicious dessert in around 10 minutes. All you need is a plantain, butter, and brown sugar. Chef Matt shows you how to make it happen.

Going to make this tomorrow! 😃
Woohoo! Hope you enjoy!
Wow! Impressive dessert! We don’t like banana strings, either! Lol!
Wow! Impressive dessert!
So good! I lived in Haiti as a kid, and their version is just very ripe Plantains deep fried 'til juuuuuuust starting to get crispy. Mum would usually drizzle them with some honey on them. I LOVE this version, though!!! I've had a taste for them and got some today before finding this video, so I'm going to use THIS recipe! Using regular butter will be awesome. Have to admit that I usually fry the Plantains in Ghee, and use Jaggery instead of brown sugar. Using regular butter has got to add a wonderful taste, so I'm going to do it that way! Hopefully we have some regular brown sugar (but if not, I'm NOT waiting to go buy some and will use Jaggery as usual LOL)... Thanks for this - subscribing!

I just read about plantains in an airfrier recipe, Good housekeeping, never heard of plantains before. Thank you fir your video about banana an d plantain differences.
Thanks for watching! 🙏
I loves me some plantains!
They are so good! I’ve been cooking them a lot lately.
I wonder how that compares to bananas foster.I had no idea what to those. That looks delicious and worth trying. Nice 👍.
Would be great in that application. Similar method of cooking the bananas, but plantains bring their own complexity. Yum!
Was that salted butter?
I can't recall what I used, but judging from what's currently in my stock, it probably was. You can use either salted or unsalted. Cheers!
Remember how I asked if I could use your channel for my channel? How I would learn to cook from yours? I will let you know when I start. May I make video suggestions and ask questions then?
Of course. Comments section is probably best for that, as I try to respond to all. Thanks and best of luck!
