- I''ve been obsessed with vanlife and van conversions in general for about 3 years. An opportunity presented itself earlier in the year and i decided to take the plunge and buy my first Campervan Conversion/Day Van

I think thermal blinds would work great …..I have them in my camper van , makes a massive difference to keep heat in …..and in summer they will help keep the van cool as well………van looks great 👍 thanks 🙏

I've also got a peugeot expert camper convert and is fitted with the diesel heater the trouble im having is eco mode that's standard with peugeot keeps kicking in and turning the heater off unless i run the engine then its fine.

Heating anything with electric is not feasible, for it to do anything in that volume of air it need to be atlest 1kw, and then it is much cheaper to buy a dieselheater then uppgrading the electrics to handle the load.
Make styrofoam inserts for the windows and dress them with black fabric, then it just looks like tinted windows from the outside, gives enourmusly good insulation and blackout.

Did you ever get round to fitting that diesel heater mate? I’ve got the exact same model of camper and I’m wondering where you were thinking the best spot was for the heater?
Hi Jake. I haven't fitted one because I'm in the exact same position. Not sure where to fit it at all.
My only option, really, due to the layout and current fixtures/fittings would be under the front cab seat, or in the tall cupboard, to the side of my bed.
@@deanaird I’ve got the same layout as your van and I’ve fitted it under the bed, more specifically in the gap between the bed frame and the tall cupboard.
There’s plenty of empty space under the van in that spot for the exhaust and air intake.
If you decide to fit one make sure to use a 2Kw heater and not the 5kw and 5 is too big.

Hi Andrew. I bought it already converted through a company called JCT Cars in Thurcroft, Rotherham. But they specialise in converting them, it seems, so it might be worth giving them a ring if you're looking to get your existing van converted.
