Why do I block out the Mini-Map with annotations for Sub battle replays?
I block it out because the Mini-Map gives away who sent in the battle replay. And in most cases whoever sends in the battle replay wins the battle. So I block it to keep it a surprise :D

That was fantastic play from the Byzantiums I am enraged at how the Danes threw the entire match.

One of my favorites as well. Love the authenticity of how they fought and how historically accurate it was, charging back and forth with cav.

I was going to say my favorite part of this battle was watching the fire over the infantry charge through the valley, but that brave knight at the end probably had me the most engaged I've ever been in a Total War battle. Great video!
That last part was epic, really rooting for a miracle for that last unit. Super exciting to watch Apollo!!!

OMG.. This battle was so epic! Loved it man.
In the battle that shaped the world, there was one who was above all. His power, great, his bravery, greater, fighting for Rome. As the battle neared the end, the enemy came close, he was the last to stand, so he picked up his weapon in his mighty hand. He rode on his horse to fight the hordes, slicing his way through. He would not give up on Byzantium at all. He almost won, but the hordes were to strong. He gave it his all to protect the king at home. Constantinople remembered his feats, so he now sleeps next to Constantine. The greatest soldier of all...

I actually thought the Byzantines' team had a chance to win the fight on the earlier part of the battle not to mention they literally had the higher ground, the Mongol cavalry was doing great on charging 3 armies though they lost their edge once their cavs were gone.

May i give a humble suggestion? What do you think about a Pike and shot game? Players could only bring units from that era, musketeers, pikes, sword and buckler, etc.

The last few minutes of the battle is like something out of a Monty Python sketch.
There once was a man from the empire. He was a lone squire. He fought and fought but soon he saw death in his path. Then the French walked on his grave, singing songs and having a parade. - song for the man from the empire. :D

Hey guys, isn't it a shame how in Attila your whole army routs collectively routs rather than a few men duke it out like this? Like, instantly everyone just abandons their position in Attila, regardless of of where they are on the battlefield.
Saw timurids, got super excited for elephants...that one free for all from a long time ago it was a 4v4 elephants were just going crazy on Scotland I believe
Did you use any mods? Troops look so detailed... Not anywhere near my game, with graphics at max.

To be honest I usually prefer accurate history bottles like England versus France like the Netflix movie with cold rain but still this is pretty good, I was wondering if you do a battle between England and France which would you really be on the side of the Curious despite the fact that France has the same color as your profile pic.

Surprised to see the low unit count on the cards. Figured they'd be maxed for this.
I really like how Russia used the peasants as a shield unit so that he could join his teammate. Also, thanks for the tip about annotations, Apollo, it was really annoying to try to close them all manually.

There was once a lad from Byzantium, his name was never known.Prepared to fight and give all for his home. hours upon the battlefield he fought, slaying many a foe.Though the hordes of Scott's were coming, with Frenchmen in tow.He saw his countrymen fall at his side, like brothers in his family. At last he was the last one left, and looked upon the field bitterly. The face of he turned grim as he picked up his fallen sword. He mounted up on his charger, determined to win the war. This one normal Byzantine, facing over twenty, had fear racing through his heart. But determination to not give up, that was his art. He kicked his heels to his horses's flanks and started a lumbering run. This noble lad who's name is never known, Unfortunately never made it home. But as his mighty horse was cut down beneath him he leaped from his saddle, and fought once more on fought, taking at least 5 more knaves with him to the grave, leaving many a more tending wounds that could never heal. lest we forget

A Man alone but strong and healthy. Went into war with his fine army. he stood with his friends they were in groups of tens. They run into battle Kill the enemy they outnumber them 5 to 1 but we outmatch them so they kill on-ly oooooonnnne. One by one they fell. All of them Were in war that was like hell. Flying fireballs with sharp tips.flailing balls of fire reaching long distances. And above it all. They kept on fighting for their people. In the midst of the battle one young man sliced and cut through the enemy ranks. jabbing and stabbing he stood tall on his horse. until he was the only one left. he charged and charged until archers were no more. He harrased the pikemen and charged one last time. he fell of his horse and died a sad death. Fell onto the ground with his dead comradessss....... (fade out)

This battle was so stressful to play, and almost as stressful to watch. Was really close and very fun though, especially when you think how quickly and easily Denmark were killed.

THHHHHERE WAS ONCE A MAN OF SHIMMERING STEEL, A SWORD ALWAYS GRASPED IN HAND. He would never back down, he fought for the crown, made sure his foes were dead. But alas this day he saw his fate he knew he was good as dead! He thought of his child and wife back home, taking in a long sigh of dread. He drew his sword, held it tight looking in to his enemies fearful sight as he came over the piles of dead. He swung just once his mighty steel severing 20 heads but alas he still knew he was dead. He turned back around looked to the crown, the banner swaying brave. He looked to sky and with another sigh and charged forward instead. The final clash, in just a flash he lay dying... he prayed to his lord and smiled as the enemy took his head. But Nay! HIS SOUL SHALL NEVER BE DEAD, HE LAY WITH THE KINGS AMONGST PRETTY THINGS HIS FINAL REST BEING WHERE ONLY KINGS COULD EVER DREAM. HE DIED BUT HE DIED FREE. THE BYZNATINES WERE HELLA STEAMED. SO THEY CAME ALMOST 40000 DEEP. AND CRUSHED WHAT WAS LEFT OF THE ENEMY!
