Rival Popcorn Air Popper Coffee Roast

I'm using the Rival 1400W popcorn air popper to roast coffee beans. Similar concept to the Fresh Roast SR300. Too hot, imho.
Very quick roast; 56g in three minutes. Somewhat uneven; looks like city +2 to Vienna. 15% moisture loss (dark roast). No roast/burnt taste in the cup, but not as flavourful as slow roasting.
I was surprised how many "bad" beans I found in a specialty coffee from a good shop. I can't imagine how many bad ones get into commercial coffee. Dark roasting disguises some defects...and pre ground coffee completely wipes out any evidence o.O god forbid you drink instant coffee :(
