He was the ceo of a company that owned a medication that was very important for people with hiv and increased it by 4000% when he became ceo of the company so many people who needed this medication and were dying of aids couldn’t afford that medication. The Medallion fund was amazing but I don't think it could scale beyond a certain point. They had to cap the fund at a certain amount. Still the greatest investor/fund of all time but an interesting quirk of the story.
