- This 6” x 6” paper project uses 6 sheets of any 6” paper and created a handy accordion/concertina style holder. Score dimensions on 4 of the sheets are 5 5/8” (14.5 cm) and once those are glued, score both glued pieces at 3” (7.6 cm)
The top/ back gets scored at 3 1/8” and 3 1/4” (8 cm and 8.2 cm).
The bottom front is scored every 1/8” from 4” to 4 1/2” (10.2 cm to 11.4 cm)
This video is not intended for viewers under the age of 13.
Thank you so much Cori, I really really enjoyed watching you create these amazing and awesome folders. They are really really useful and helpful too. I really really love ❤️ your design. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Thank you Mags 😊
I love this idea to gift with a journal.
Thank you, Maryann 💕
Thank you for sharing so many details ❤ love these!!
These are so much fun to make and they just make a person smile when held in the hands and flipped through. Have fun!
Thanks for sharing, very clear instructions..
My pleasure and thank you for the feedback.
Looks great! On my project list!
Thank you. It's a quick project, I promise! I'd love it if you share your project with me on Instagram.
I like how you show the products and say what they are to benefit people who do not speak English as their first language and visual learners too. You are a great teacher. This was easy to follow, and the accordion style folder is so cute. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the kind comments and happy creating!
What a useful project! It’s both functional and pretty. I can think of using many of these to sort and store my die cuts. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for these clear and easy to follow instructions. I never thought I could make one of these, but after watching your video, I know I can do it. I can’t wait to make one of these tomorrow. I love it!!
That just warmed my heart! I'm so glad it helped and I'd love to see your completed project. I'm Corimarcherdahmen on instagram if you tag me I'd be thrilled to see and comment on it.
I certainly will. I’m thrilled that you have 30 new subscribers since last night.
@@v49a47 thank you! How sad is it that I didn't notice and couldn't tell you how many subscribers I have?! Guess I'd better start paying attention :)
Love this! And it couldn't have come at a better time! I have several collections of tiny bits, flowers, butterflies and such and they keep falling out of my larger ephemera books. These look like they will be perfect and I can make one for every collection! Thank you for sharing!
Yeah! I'd love to see your completed projects. Glad to hear the timing was good :)
Love this Cori! Thank you for your clear and concise instructions. I have sewn a similar pouch in fabric, but it was way more complicated. On my list of things to make today!🥰🇨🇦
I know that are many ways to create these. I try to search for the most simple and straightforward, but it is a hit-and-miss plan, for sure. Happy making to you!
Great idea and it turned out well. I made four of them tonight and they are so useful for smaller items. Thanks Cori!!
Yeah! I love hearing when others are able to put the plans to work. So glad it was helpful!
I'm English only but I'm also a visual learner so I appreciate your teaching style very much!! Thank you :)
I’m so sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I’m happy to hear that it was beneficial for you 😊
Love it. Thank you
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
Love this Cori, and thank you for the tips. I will be having ago at one of these. Thank you xxxx
Yet another great idea. They are the perfect size for this.
I'm seeing a shelf full of these cuties.... one for each category/topic :)
Hi Cori, new subbie from Traci Fox's fb page. Wonderful tutorial lovey, i think these folders are great, thanks and hi from Queensland Australia xo
Hello Diane in Queensland! I'm glad you like the folio/holder and hope you enjoy making one or more.
I love and I just subscribed today!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I have never had that much time to move my papers with that glue, but I don’t think I have ever used as much glue as you did, either. Have you noticed a big difference in dry time? (I would go experiment, but I am out of it right now! It is my favorite for paper, except that it dries with a bit of a gloss, which I don’t want when I am making cards, so I am currently trying “dries clear matte “ glues. I would appreciate any feedback from you or your followers. Thank you for explaining everything so well. I am trying to use up some of my 6x6 pads (so I can buy more😉). I scored a bunch yesterday for bank envelopes to do an advent project for my grandkids. Again, thanks so much for this series.
My pleasure Bev. I’ve never found a truly matte finish glue. Or at least that is matte enough that it doesn’t show. The Tombo Mono Multi (white bottle with green lid) is the best I have found for complete removal of overflow. Once it’s dry I use a rubber cement square to remove the excess glue. As long as the paper is sturdy or cardstock, it removes all traces of escaped glue. I’ve found dry time to be within minutes, regardless of the season or temperature.
@@CoriDahmen thanks! I never thought of that, but It’s one that’s on my table. I have really only used it to create stickers, but I will look at it differently now.
@@bevp7838 I do love items that can serve multiple purposes 😊
This is a nice project, thanks :) If you are concerned about talking too much, try watching your video in double time with the sound off - it is easy to spot where you repeat yourself or go off at a slight tangent. If the dimensions were on screen, this folder could still be easily made following your actions. I’m not suggesting you stop talking, just saying what I noticed :)
I really appreciate the feedback. I’m a video rookie, so this is all great advice. Thank you 😊
Thankyou
You are very welcome!
love this. where do you get your velum pouches? love all your ideas and channel
Thank you and the ones I don't make from sheets of vellum I get from Amazon.
You can make this a bit bigger if you wanted, right? A larger one could be to keep scrap paps in.
Absolutely! I’ve made them both larger and smaller.
Can we use the regular plain card stock for the inside papers.
Absolutely!
why not just glue the sides to make two more pockets one in front one in back
You absolutely could. I just like the closure over the top of the open slots.
