Preston North End beat Leeds United 2 - 1 at Deepdale in the Championship as goals from Alan Browne and Liam Millar is enough to win this Boxing Day fixture with some great limbs and a cracking goal scored in the last minute, Illan Meslier was sent off in the 2nd half for Leeds, Pascal Strujk scored from the penalty spot for Leeds Utd too. @@john1951w Best team we have faced though in the division coming from a Preston fan. I think it could be higher points tally than 90 if ipswich can maintain and if Leeds get another run going. Southampton is the dark horse sneaking along with no one commenting on them.

@@jsgcfootball I'm sure they will do, but no where near as big as Sunderland.
@@GG-zl3et as a Sunderland fan of 60 years, Leeds are bigger. We won our titles pre 1940s, Leeds dominated a much harder, more watched era of football. Leeds were dominating in Europe, we've never done that. If we're being fair, everyone knows Leeds should rightly have a UCL to their name and a winners cup which was proven they were cheated out of. Not to mention their upcoming stadium extension will soon match ours and no doubt they will fill it, something we aren't doing. They should also have a 4th top flight title but were fiddled out of it by having to play wolves two days after a cup final (something a club has never been made to do since). Leeds were in pretty much every final, they didn't win every one but you have to dominate to be able to reach those finals. I remember watching us getting thumped 5-0 by Ipswich whilst watching Leeds score against a great Barcelona side, beating the likes of AC Milan, and this was only in 2001...

I remember Sunderland giving them the coffin saying “rip Leeds 1973” after the cup final win, only for Leeds to go and win the league right after😂😂 and then become the deserved winners of the champions league final had it not been for the officiating in 75

All big clubs mate, Wednesday bringing over 5k tonight on a Friday night which is a great effort. Sunderland sold out the 5.5k back in August, Leeds did too and with no trains and an early kick off on Boxing Day.
No Leeds in the home end, also their fans weren’t anything special.
Few near us, gives it away when you don’t celebrate Preston scoring and leaving as Millar scores the winner 😂 No I wasn’t disappointed by Leeds atmosphere

Was one near me but he was in a chair so fair enough. They were loud at times but silent alot, previous times they've just sung throughout and that wasn't the case today all
