This really makes it tempting to switch to the Surface Pro X if I wasn't already so in love with my ipad đł
Pro X is basically just a chromebook with Microsoft office. Unless all you do is webbrowse, Netflix and use office for notes or work then itâs not for you. This isnât for gaming or photoshop
iPhone Email agreed. Itâs clear the software has just not caught up yet. But for the price, and with being able to run programs off a more powerful external, I think itâs a decent device much like the MacBook Air. Granted, I rely too much on editing so iPad Pro and MacBook Pro for much for the reason you said.
MANCAKE I mean Iâm going to buy since all I do is use Microsoft word, PowerPoint, drawboard, one note, Netflix, Hulu and Spotify. I donât photo edit, video edit, need Lightroom etc. I have a pro 7 Iâm returning since Iâm not a contenting creator Iâm just a grad student that takes notes, shops on amazon and watches CZcams. Iâve never been a gamer. I wanted to get an iPad but the lack of actual multi-window and no mouse support makes it hard for productivity. Taking notes on the iPad is great but for in-class exams. Opening a web browser and PowerPoint at the same time itâs not as seamless as clicking with a mouse.
iPhone Email Have you looked at the new(ish) iPad OS? I actually almost gave away my iPad Pro until they announced and released it because of those exact reasons. The iPad was not my friend during my Spring semester this year but itâs been great so far for the fall semester đ

You know the older stylus had multiple nibs types to get the right feel. I don't think the new Pro X pen offers different nibs. I'd check out Penbook, Wacom Bamboo paper, and Sketchbook. Also, Sai paint if you can find a 32bit version of the app to run in emulation.

Graphiter is an amazingly lifelike sketching app, but it hasn't been updated for a long time. There's always Fresh Paint (also hasn't been updated in a while), ArtRage and Autodesk Sketchbook. Looking forward to Adobe Fresco. How many of these will work on the ARM processor of the X I don't know.

So I am searching all over trying to find out if the Surface Pro X has a better version of OneNote. I am looking into getting this for school but I saw that when you try to take a picture on the Pro 6 to put on one note, it wonât zoom or crop out like the iPad will. Do you know if this was updated/fixed on the new Surface Pro X?

This Microsoft laptop/ tablet is so beautiful
No smell in a device is something I actually like...
This Surface X, am curious about if it keeps having the issue of the jitter/wobble when drawing slow lines that other older Surfaces have. Is not a show stopper thanks to how great are art apps today, but.... Better said (as n-trig technology, unlike Wacom's, seems can't fully get rid of it) it'd be interesting to know (altho is completely out my price range, that would be a ryzen desktop + XP-Pen classic tablet, that's around 500 bucks total. We artists are poor, sigh) how much of the issue has been minimized, as you can always use line stabilizers by software, in today's most apps, and it is all a matter of the degree needed. If finally in this one, only a bit of stabilizer strength is needed, and so, drawing clean lines without the lag and unnatural feel that a high value of stabilizer produces, then it all could be good and nice.
Judging by what I saw when you painted... it kind of.... could have been fixed? That'd be great news, as you are having there a full Windows with all the huge variety of software that it counts on. BTW, am almost 100% sure it can run well also CS: GO (Counter Strike, a FPS with low requirements) , Planet Side 2 (multiplayer FPS), and most 2D/3D apps. As mine does ( I don't play anymore, though, past middle forties, heh) and am using a 10 year old first gen i7, lol. These laptops only weak point tends to be that use an integrated graphic card (have not seen the X specs yet), usually lower in performance than the lowest discrete card, but even integrated cards can run most casual games, several e-sport ones, and all graphic production applications.
