a true master of our times. I think he's the best "single pen" illustrator, in the world. There are a lot of astonishing artists out there, but this man is some step above. He can draw incredible complex stuff with a unseen easy. And uses both serious arguments and humor in his pieces. I'd die to see him live drawing. In italy. Milan.
he jsut really good at perspective! and yeha his mental library is insane as well, he understand and cruous about lot of thing like inside the car and animals like horse, foxes tiger... im inspired by him so much
@J0urney Art there’s already artist like Baron Yoshimoto who draw like Tarada. The way Kim draws from them is much much different, and at a technical standpoint much more impressive. I would say he really is unrivaled.
Lines, shapes, perspective, observation, size, shortening, relationships, proportions, anatomy, shadow, light, shading, and contrast of lines are all basic things that an artist must memorize, and to be able to do all these complex basics requires that you devote your whole life to drawing, learning, and studying.
What impressed me the most is that he even held the pen, drew his own hand in the drawing, holding the pen, drawing his own hand, holding the pen, drawing...
Anyone else notice that Kim has a callus ridge on his middle finger from where his pen sits??? Watch when he smudges, that's insane man... Lets get these calluses boys
I am from Switzerland. I was never in the region of the Matterhorn, NOW after dis video, i was twice there - once with the video, and one once with your sketchbook drawing! Thank you!
Can you consider brushpen pieces as painting? I learned alot from this video. His face is not too close to the paper He used his middle finger to smudge the ink before it dried He uses his whole arm and finally He draws very quickly I ❤ it
@@moonyfoxy876 that's not just it, If you're interested in learning and observation, You will see depth. Observing and Learning for 40 years is too much for a simple perspective, there's too much to learn in that. There was a video were I think Kim Jung Gi said he already does 3D when he was in preschool. 40 Years to master the Brush Pen I'd Agree.
Beautiful, I am so happy you are visiting my country, Switzerland! Your talent is amazing, I am working hard to get better in my understanding of human anatomy and understand drawings perspective in general, I would like to push my art further. I am working every day, I love so much to draw since i am a kid, and realize everyday I learn something new. Thank you, you are a true inspiration
I imagine that you could be filmed by little DRONES ; one SCARABÉE (sur l'épaule), one EAGLE on the air (pour les plans larges), one fixed one the PEN (like the guitarists sometimes do).
LEUCHTURM1917 is a good sketchbook too (with a credible story ; it's not Italian but French tradition at the origine) : larger than moleskine, with White paper (as Cow Milk), 315 pages & autocollants. Just need to have a larger pocket in your Coat (Think GERMAN clothes !)

3 years ago this video inspired me to start drawing again.
Now I mourn his passing. Rest easy legend.

with Pentel brush pen🖊
moleskin sketchbook📒
Is it hardtip or soft tip?
James Santos micro brush, they are soft
What impressed me the most is that he even held the pen, drew his own hand in the drawing, holding the pen, drawing his own hand, holding the pen, drawing...
Mind blown
RIP. Cant belive he's gone. :(
Kim Jung Gi will always be my favorite artist, and I'll be a fan until the day I die.
Even now I will always be a fan

He's taking a picture

I have one because I draw a lot. But unfortunately mine doesn’t have the magic.
@@10418 i feel u, i got sum small ones too but damn still got a long ways to go D:
That callus is big AF
Isn`t that normal? Got a callus ridge on my finger back in my school days jusf from writing. So if you use a pen a few hours a day you will get it.
They mostly happen when using pencils. The fact he uses a brush pen which doesn’t apply much pressure, and has a callus shows his devotion to drawing.
Everyone else taking pictures with their camera and cellphones, but this just bring in his sketch book , wow what an amazing artist.
Kim Jung Gi is an amazing artist and one of my inspirations, can't wait to see what he does next.
*_Who else agrees?_*
What a beautiful drawing and this view
Amazing....Master of Masters

Excellent!
I wish you would have held a workshop here! Switzerland hasn't a lot to offer for people who want to learn a lot about art
Bonkers that he's holding the sketchbook with his other hand. 😆
Must be fun being with him. "not yet.. Wait"
Yeah. One of my favorite video now.
Holy crap, that drawing looks like the take on me video times 100
Amazing
Just amazing.
Beautiful!! These are some of my favourite videos on CZcams. Just going outside somewhere and drawing. Beautiful scenery!
Beautiful drawing and beautiful country!
I’m a big fan!!! Love it!! Thanks for the video
welcome to Switzerland
😻
Next time come visit us in Geneva !
Ooh awesome would love to see more videos like this!
i love that brush
Perfect ❣️❣️❣️❣️
GENIUS !
Its videos like this that inspired me to go out in nature and sketch instead of always staying inside
Can you consider brushpen pieces as painting?
I learned alot from this video.
His face is not too close to the paper
He used his middle finger to smudge the ink before it dried
He uses his whole arm and finally
He draws very quickly
I ❤ it
Magical
He makes it look so easy
Great shit as always...he's lucky though. Whenever i draw people while chilling, eating, casino...people get all pissy about it
thats because you are looking to much and they see that so you have to do it chameleon style and blend in with the crowd
Lol you aint telling any lies. But i'm not a master like Jung Gi. I need to look at least 3 times to get a clear visual image.
와...이뻐요
You are fantastic
I'll be as good as you one day mr gi
Maybe even better
Yess, aim higher, so when u dont succeed u can atleast be like mr gi
For me, I'll aim higher then u haha
Perfect video!

Its amazing.. can you tell us which pentel he used for this? Thanks

How does he create such depth with so seemingly little drawing?
perspective
Drawing everyday for 40 years might do it

He's drawing in fish eye lense or wide angle. That usually adds extra depth to a drawing.
If have you ever seen his drawing on different perspective you will be amazed how depth he can draw, he is a master.
